I said over 1 million because I live in Los Angeles County (just under 10 million people) which is a group of many many cities and suburbs that are considered to be an urban area as a whole. The city that I live in has over 40k people. The development that I live in which is literally all by itself (separated by hills a river and forest from the rest of the city) has a little over 300 homes. So I feel like I live in a small community but at the same time in a major metropolitan area. I don't have a large lot (it is big enough for me) but I feel like I get the best of both worlds. :D

4 million metro population but around 500,000 in the city

Hmm things you learn on Wiki, Montreal's population is 1.6 million making it the 7'th largest city in North America, huh I did not know that.

Crazy, huh? It has such a 'quaint' reputation for being the 7th largest, apparently. But I think the only people that feel that way about it are those that move here from Toronto.

Houston's population is about 2.2 million and rising, that is just the city proper, the metro area has close to 5.8 million.

New Orleans. We made it over 300,000 in the city this year. I think we are down to 1.2 million in the area now. We should be back to 1.5 mil in a few years.

By the way, come to Southern Decadence. It sould be back to its original naughty state this year. Plus, it's a full moon this weekend. wink wink.

26,847 according to city-data

Its boring and too small for me

According to the US Census Bureau's latest estimates for 2008, there are 617,714 people in the Colorado Springs metro area. There are about 380,000 in the city limits. I kinda consider all of Colorado to be home, though, and the state has about 4.5 million.

I live in Anaheim which is in California and has a population of almost 350,000 people.

My town/city is most famous for The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim which is a name I despise... and of course Disneyland!

I have a annual pass to the park and am about 10 minutes away from it.

Is there still a Knott's Berry Farm ? It's where I first tasted Boysenberry Jam - been hooked ever since !!

My town? meh --- around 50,000 -- No big business - long stops in the Center of town while the trains go by -- small and old - founded aroun 1650? IDK....

If you had asked me in early-August, I would've said 1 to 999, because Mountainboro, the community I live in is very small (around 350), but since it got annexed into my hometown of Boaz, I can now say that I live in a town of about 8,500, give or take a few hundred, so I voted 5,000 to 9,999.

It's a small town...considered a Micropolitan Statistical Area :D with a population about 23,000, life here revolves around the university I'm attending.

EDIT: oh, did I mention 14,000 of those people are attending school?
