I had a sleepwalking episode last night that scared me this morning. After getting showered and dressed for work I came into the living room and found my boots laying in the middle of the floor. The first thing I thought was someone broke in. The front door was locked and I went to check the back door and found this

There was also a chair blocking the door to the utility room.

I had a rough night sleeping. The cats kept waking me up starting at 3. I think I was talking in my sleep and they were wondering what I was doing. I know one time they woke me up I was dreaming about fighting with someone.

Only thing I can think is it’s from the Stephen King book I’m reading. The character in it is on the run with cops and the mafia looking for him. I guess I was blockading my house

I want to laugh.....but I sympathize with people who have sleeping issues.

Your cats may be trying to gaslight you...they do do this...but it really could be just somnambulant adventures.

Are you eating when you sleepwalk?

I have. I usually eat a piece of bread for some reason. The worst thing I’ve done is go shopping on Amazon on my phone. I don’t find out until I get the email the next day. I’ve done it twice and I’ve bought things that I liked but didn’t want to spend the money on.

I used to sleepwalk a lot as a child. A couple of weeks ago I got up in morning and found a couple of lights on that I'm pretty sure I turned off. That hasn't happened in a while.

It would absolutely freak me the hell out.

I'm not a great sleeper now and finding out I'm sleepwalking would probably really make that worse.

... I sympathize with people who have sleeping issues.
I was (and still am) such a patient with insomnia-related complications. I slept little hours as a child, due partly do depression as brought on by my dad.

A lot of times, I would suffer night-terrors, (I think you responded to a thread of mine which discussed this!) where in the deepest, darkest nightmare any child could experience, I wake up with a feeling of shock and alarm that "someone" or "something" is chasing after me. The chilling feeling felt real, and the nightmare felt very real.

These night terrors only happen when I was sleep deprived for so many days.

Relating what I'm mentioning to the topic at hand, I've always wondered if my own body is actually out walking and talking during my nt episodes. I never recorded myself, so I wouldn't know.

One other time, I did wake up on the ground of my family room wooden floor, with no recollection of how I got there. I remember that I didn't dream of anything. Perhaps that was my one episode of sleep walking that wasn't related to my nt episodes.
