^^the reason that most building elevators with mirrors in them are clean is that there is a whole squad of cleaning people and / or janitorial service personnel that typically wipe down all surfaces that people might touch on an almost daily basis (or at least every other day)

An enterprising cleaning service should offer "selfie-mirror special cleaning". They would be very busy, apparently.
