Indeed, this is just a satirical look at those pics that seemed like a pretty good idea at the time, but in hindsight make you scratch your head and wonder what was he thinking?

Now this is an interesting subject for a variety of reasons. My most immediate concern is that this young man is in desperate need of a trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to purchase a new pillow for his leather chair. Those strings on this pillow can really get in the way on "play night." But he does get points for at least using a pillow.

I'm wondering if furniture placement could be an issue here. I'm assuming he has a casual sitting area behind the big-screen television - but perhaps a nice palm tree would provide some definition between the two areas.

The artwork grouping on the back wall contains some interesting pieces, but I'm thinking we could rearrange them in a more interesting pattern after we apply some nice color to the walls.

And perhaps JC Penny will have a drapes sale in the near future - we desperately need a window treatment intervention here.

Now based on the pose, our subject must have planned this picture, but looking at the surprised look on his face I'm guessing he was having second thoughts as soon as he heard the click of the camera!

I'm surprised nobody made mention of the chic christmas lights hanging in the corner near the ceiling. That just says "style" right there.
