This is why gays are viewed as having no sense of humor. Censorship is always bad, not just when its imposed on OUR side.

That's what I am thinking. I don't see what is so offensive about this commercial.

Yes, I thought it was a little humorous. Comparing this commercial to something racist is stupid and almost completely irrelevant. It's two straight guys, working in an auto shop kissing. How do you think most straight men would react in a situation? It's an over exaggerated reaction that wasn't meant to gay bash or poke fun at the gays. Stop being so overly sensitive. Do some of you honestly think you're going to get compared to this Snickers commercial? Some of you seem to be a little too insecure about your sexuality to the point that you can't even take a joke. Do you always react like this to gay jokes?

I also found the commercial to be hilarious. I thought it was great, personally. Seeing two guys "kiss" in a commercial, then react by doing something ridiculous and calling it "manly" was the kicker for me. But I can also see why some gays and lesbians would find it offensive, and I do agree that the commercial doesn't do much to help modern society accept gays and lesbians more readily.

But I did appreciate the commercial for what it was. Amusing and clever.

I didn't mind the tv commercial and chuckled when it aired, but when the website shows alternate endings with violence and the anti-freeze suicide, you absolutely know that their intent was mean-spirited.

The humor was lost and the intention changed from comedic to homophobic, hurtful, and insensitive.

I really don't know how that commercial made it on TV. The FCC certainly has gay peoples' backs. Janet's tit flies out and the whole country in a tizzy, but two men kiss (accidentally of course) and are so ashamed by it that they need to resort to violence gets approved before it aires. I haven't seen any suburban mothers in their turtle neck sweaters and leather coats picketing that...but flash a tit and children are scarred for life.

I wasn't out right offended by the commercial (though I found no humor) but I did cringe a little when it was on. I know people do not think it is a big deal and the antigay plot was not the intent, but they should have been more responsible. ESPECIALLY when snickers had the reaction of the football players on their website. Those reactions are going to be seen by young people who look up to them.
