What about if a hot guy walks past? Do you look back and check out his ass? And is it the same response when a hot woman walks past? Rather simplistic, I know, but just something else to consider in your puzzle as it's an instinctive response.

I don't. I'll check out a guy's butt and it's only after the fact that I realise I've done it. For me, same thing doesn't happen with women.

Ok, this is just my opinion, and others possibly won't agree. But say you have 2 magazines in front of you. One contains pics of naked men, the other pics of naked women. If you wanted to get off alone, and could only choose one of the magazines to look at, which one would you choose? If you would rather take the guys one, you are probably gay. If you can't decide, or have no preference, you are probably bi. Aside from actual physical experiences with people, it is simple things like this that helped me realise I am gay after many years trying to convince myself otherwise.

Although, as others have said, I reckon your best course is getting out an about and enjoying the company of others. Join clubs. I know here in NZ, there are actually gay social clubs where guys go to the pub, go to sport, organise trips etc. Are there other guys you are attracted to besides your hot straight friend?
