Ronald Firbank is often mentioned in connection with Jocelyn Brooke. Also Aldous Huxley (think Antic Hay not Brave New World). I've got the one-volume complete Firbank novels on the shelf here but I've never read any of them. I shall rectify the omission as soon as my other engagements permit. The Orchid Trilogy is a good introduction to Brooke.

Fairbank is very fey.
