So, how long have you been bi?

I've know since I was about 12 when I realize I have an attraction to females as well as males.
 
Thinking back, it's hard to say when I started to realize. My situation made things murky -- I was brought up believing sex was evil, hard-ons were from the devil... I got grounded for even saying the word "penis" around a girl....

I never actually admitted to myself that I'm a sexual being until about four years ago; when I did, I assumed that as a man "of course" I like women. But that turned out to be not necessarily so, which scared the frak out of me.

Now my attraction is seasonal: summer, I'm more attracted to gals, though scared of them; winter, I'm attracted almost exclusively to guys. The proportions have shifted a bit in the two years I've been out, and I don't yet know where they'll end... which also scares me.

Forbidden fruit just means that it isn't something you would normally go after, but sometimes decide to. Why don't you usually do it? Religious reasons, moral ones, etc. For me, I just thought I was purely straight for a long time.
