I can't even imagine not having gay friends now, although I guess many years ago I was in the same situation. For those wondering how they'll ever make gay friends out in the real world, the first step is going where there are other gay guys that share a common interest with you. That usually comes in the form of some sort of organized group such as local theater, an HIV/AIDS support organization or some sort of gay focused sports or activity team.

i had no idea there were so many other gay guys who were lacking for actual gay friends. i have to admit though, it's mainly my own fault--well that and the fact that the gay/bi population over here is like next to zero-- that i don't have any. i dunno it's just always been hard for me to put myself out there like that with ANYONE gay or str8, male or female. alot of times when i feel like i'm actually getting close to someone i kinda freak out and tend to either push them away, or just pull back. i'd like to think i'm getting better at that though.

That's cool. Some of my best friends are the gays.
Its nice to have someone to talk to about guy stuff now and then. I have a couple at work that are good friends and we have a blast when we are all working together.
