and i have NO idea what cellphone to upgrade to!

all i know so far is i want something that has bluetooth for a headset, long battery life, fantastic reception and built strong (since i have a tendency to drop my phone). My service is AT&T Wireless (but i'm also thinking of switching to Verizon)

I haven't been keeping up with the latest technology on those badboys. any suggestions would be AWESOME.
 
I just upgraded to a Samsung Blackjack literally four days ago. I like it, it is on the new 3G network which will eventually replace the Edge. I got the phone for free with a 65 dollar a month contract with all the bells and whistles. The phone is through at&t. I love it, mobile email, internet, streaming video, text messages, video messages, picture messages etc.

i was considering the blackjack, and iphone too, but i've come to realize i need something slim and/or small/light since i can't carry a big phone around when i'm doing floor duty at the hospital.

but it's good to know AT&T has good phones! ..|

are all the AT&T phones on the 3G network now?

The present iPhone is 2.5 G. Rumour has it that a new unit will be announced soon. Apple usually makes these announcements in January. I wish I could have one but they are not yet available in Canada so I bought a Sony Erikkson W810i and hate it. It never heard the term user friendly.:grrr:
 
Alot of ATT phones are 3G, however they do not have 3G service everywhere. Below is a link to cities that have 3G coverage.

Even in my city, 3G coverage isn't everywhere - which is odd. The sections of my city that don't have 3G are primarily where I live and where I work. So I went with the iPhone because it's on EDGE and has Wi-Fi.
 
Yeah, as stated above, the iPhone is currently not on the 3G network, there are rumors abound though about when it will be released, and what features will be on it. I used it and hated it, it was a lot less user friendly to me than what I had thought. The touch screen was a nice touch, but the keys for the keyboard bothered me because I have big hands and they're close together. Not to mention the base plan was 60 a month without texts, for an additional 1500 it was an extra 30 a month, and I got all that included in mine for 65 a month.

so far, i'm lookin at the iPhone, Motorola Razr2 V9, and the KRAZR

anyone usin the motorolas?
