So, last night

Winter, you know: just because you are Gay doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to "things Gay".

What's your passion? Think of something you réally like.

Okay, so it's bread-baking (Hey, I'm just using an example here! Hold off the flack!) So join a cookery class in the place where you live.
Granted, that class will be full of middle-aged women, and middle-aged seperated men, and therefor no-one there will ever set your loins on fire, so to speak, but it will teach you how to interact with people, and how to befriend, or be friendly with, people even if they're not within your own demographics.

Don't focus on being Gay, focus on being a human being.

I grew up in the styx too, I sure know the feeling of "being the only gay in the village", but this tactic made it more bearable for me. It was not the ultimate solution, and I did not get a guy out of it, but the feeling that people actually enjoyed seeing me again after one week made all the difference.
