So many gay men gets their face redone. Plastic gay men on the rise.

The model pictured may have naturally full lips, but I don't care. It's hardly the most annoying thing about his hyperdeveloped physique.

He's not ugly, but I am really not turned on by vascularity that looks like a termite colony has set up shop just below the skin.

That said, I wish him well in his career. He's obviously worked hard to achieve that look, and a lot of people set much store by it.

I don't see anything wrong with plastic surgery, whatever makes someone feel better about themselves should be up to them. Where it becomes a problem is when it's taken too far. And there is no guarantee that ANY surgery will turn out perfectly. Then there are some people with body dysmorphic disorders that will never be happy no matter how much they try. Michael Jackson is exhibit A. I would absolutely have something done if I looked like hell, or if I got injured in a car accident.

Renee Zellweger is a example of o woman who should never had her face redone. Most people says that she had a unique look. Her plastic surgery erased her uniqueness. There was nothing wrong with her face.Same thing with Pete Burns. His face looked normal in the 80s.He didnt needed it.Its all about body issues. He started to have plastic surgury in the 90s.Pete Burns was an extreme case of plastic surgury. He overdid it.

Straight women and gay men are the ones who have the most pressure to look good. Its not surprising that you barely hear about straight men getting their face redone.Women are more tolerant with men who are not hot.Unlike gay men who are more demanding and have higher expectations with men.

Its quite obvious that Trevor Adams had something done on his lips. Its not only about the size. Its about the shape. The shape of his lips, mostly his lower lips, look like it had injection.Look at picture number 1 and picture number 4.Theres no way his lips are natural.

Muscular gay men are more at risk to get their face redone. They are too focused on their look.

Even Chris Crocker got his lips redone. To many gay men are into plastic surgury.Theres other ways to get self esteem.

Vanity, self esteem, self respect are often a matter of perspective, for I have discovered through my life's interactions that the self absorbtion phase is simply a matter of dealing with ones lack of confidence.

For every person spending big money on plastic surgery, there are ten thousand spending money on Prozac, and/or Xanax to enable them to comfortably glide through another day...effortlessly.

The judgemental observer may well consider that self esteem issues represent a need to grow confidence in ones self, to face the day without worrying whether ones appeal as a sexual object should be an overwhelming consideration, sufficient to generate anxiety that drives one into the arms of Xanax.

The late Gore Vidal's musing can amuse me, and anger me, nevertheless his wise words encourage me to think beyond the stereotypical manifestation of criticism of the narcissistic personality:

“A current pejorative adjective is narcissistic. Generally, a narcissist is anyone better looking than you are, but lately the adjective is often applied to those "liberals" who prefer to improve the lives of others rather than exploit them. Apparently, a concern for others is self-love at its least attractive, while greed is now a sign of the highest altruism. But then to reverse, periodically, the meanings of words is a very small price to pay for our vast freedom not only to conform but to consume.”

You've named less than 5 guys.

There are million of homos who have had no plastics work done.

Get some perspective.

I will admit, I've thought about getting plastic surgery in the past to tweak some things here and there that I didn't really like....I don't see anything wrong with getting a little bit of it.

Not the gay men i know.
Gay men i know don't even look after themselves ... mean they are FAT and not healthy !!!

Easy way to find out. If they have stamped, "Made in China" on their arse, then yep plastic.

This is openly gay fitness model Trevor Adams. His lips looks redone.Mostly his lower lips. Its quite obvious.Yes! White men can have big lips. But,his lips doesnt looks natural.Trevor would look better with smaller natural lips.

Take a look for yourselves.Maybe you will think that his lips are natural and untouched.

They could either be natural, or injected with collagen (which is not plastic surgery), or photoshopped.

I do think it is a bit off to say it is gay men who do this. What about metrosexuals? Or guys who are looking to score with a girl?

Yeah, I used to wonder myself if plastic surgery can eliminate scars but I got used to mine; and it wouldn't fix my top lip in any case. One side of my lip is slightly pulled up when relaxed due to a facial scar from the corner of my eye to te corner of my lip. To be fair they did a pretty good job the first time, but still. On the other hand unusual faces can get a bit of shit done when they give others pause. Though it does tend to startle people when I remove my sunglasses cuz the sunglasses hide most of it.

Year ago I used to think that, if I could ever afford it, I would have a teensy llittle bit of surgery here and there in attempt to improve my hideous visage. Nothing too much ... just total remodelling of my elephantine ears, big nose, wonky lips, non-existent cheekbones, lack of jawline, and crooked teeth. But nowadays I wouldn't bother, even if I had a fuck ton of dosh to spend on it. I have accepted that the only way to seriously improve my appearance would be for me to don a burka.
