Just say you think he's really cool and you don't want to rush into things, especially since everything is new to you and you're like a kid in a toy store, you want to play with all the toys before commiting to just one thing. Just thought I would put in my 2 cents and bring this all back to the point.

Sex on the first date isn't necessarily bad, but if you are new to the gay scene and all I'd recommend you take your time on the sex unless that is all you want. People always seem different after their novelty wears off. Atleast get to see the person for who they are first before you do it. Still have fun, just be smart and protect yourself, even if it is a cold.

But him offering to make you feel better while you were sick is kind of sweet. He obvioiusly thinks you are special. Don't discredit yourself cause you did it. It is done, just use what you have learned from this situation for the next time. That is called life.
