Democrats just want people to vote not out of hatred, which has been the core of the Trump appeal: If you have problems, blame a minority and punish them for it.

It might not solve said problems, but you'll feel superior. Blame Canada!

If that's so, then why did Hillary campaign pretty much on hatred the last month or so? Her campaign had become almost nothing but anti-Trump hate and fear-mongering (what happened to "when they go low, we go high"?).

He captured the argument and set the tone. She's not the orator that Obama is.

She probably needed an attack partner as Vice President.
Someone who'd perform the bloody counter attack for her, while everything she said would be sweetness, light and promise. It's a fairly effective strategy in parliamentary systems.

It's fairly effective in any election system. People really want to vote for a candidate who is going to do good things, and if all they hear is how bad the other candidate is, they quite reasonably doubt that the candidate has anything to offer.

She should have quietly re-stated that "go low... go high" point and turned Bernie loose on Trump.

In a real fight, that "go low... you go high" won't work.
The "go low ... you go lower" is fair in my opinion.

Donald learned that on reality TV...he would have won and Hilalry would have been sent home right away...

Loud and obnoxious trumps everything on reality TV...he knew that and played the card well. He won....

She should have picked Sanders as VP actually...but she didn't. ANY woman would have been dead on arrival for saying anything like he did.

They weren't happy with their choices. Bernie supporters sat home, largely.

More people should have voted in the Primaries and got off their butts if they weren't happy, though, to be fair.
