So, Paris or London...

Exactly. Even when the non-French speaking people give some sort of an attempt to speak French, they will be rudely dismissed. You can't expect hold a decent IQ and think everyone knows how to speak French. My aunt had to ask about 5,6 people before someone actually helped her with her directions.

Cmon now. You're speaking in absolutes here. I was there for well over a month and not once did I have a rude encounter. And if they dont care for non-French speaking people, they must have had great thoughts about a mexican-american walking around Paris like it was the first time he left el barrio.

It's a stereotype that the French are rude, just like New Yorkers. Maybe you guys just ran into some assholes, or maybe they were just having a bad day. Doesnt make the whole city rude.

MMM, makes me think that French people seem to only like Latinos

I vote for London. Paris is ok, but London is way better.

When I was in Paris I did speak French and was treated ok, but nothing beats British hospitality in a pub. Walked into a pub, person heard me order and asked if I was Canadian, when I said yes he let me know of his recent visit to Toronto. Next thing I am sitting with 5 or 6 guys quaffing pints for several hours... damn good time.

Personally I vote for Sydney, Australia... just can't get enough of that place.

Sabes que, forget all these other cities....Im voting for Detroit!! lol. :)

Introduce the death penalty! HAHA hey we go again!

There are hardly any crimes in Singapore. Clean but uptight, this nation is.

Yeah I prefer to speed on my car, litter the streets, abuse the authority (which btw, are the first criminals), and just the whole chaotic atmosphere of my hometown :p But thanks anyways ..|

London rules... theatre capital of the world, fashion hits first the london streets then the milan catwalks...and the british are just great people...
I second the motion, LONDON. And in addition, there is the beauty of Great Britain And Ireland.

My vote is for London. It's an amazing city with so much to do.

Let's see... other than having our hotel room robbed (room completely tossed) in London, I thought London was great. It's an interesting and exciting city.

In Paris, NO ONE was rude to us at all. My best effort at French got us by and the people seemed appreciative of the effort.

Also, Paris is hands down the more beautiful of the two. But, to be fair, it's not London's fault. London had the crap bombed out of it in WWII and much of the rebuild seems haphazard and "cost-effective." I saw these out of place looking high-rise apartment buildings, the "Gerken," and St. Paul's all in the same field of view. It looked like an odd mixture.

Paris, OTOH, was never bombed and the original city is intact. The part of the city that I saw was very clean (put's America to shame), well kept, and of course well lit ("La Ville de la Lumiere"). The French are rightfully proud of their city.

I like both cities and it's hard to pick one over the other with the limited experience I've had with them. But if I had to, I'd give the slight edge to Paris for its better weather, more beautiful architecture and unexpectedly friendly people. (But I still love London).

The French aren't rude at all, or they weren't rude to me on the many occasions i've been to Paris and other regions of France.

I guess being a Brit myself, I don't tend to notice other Brits being rude because our country is so overpopulated and busy, it's kind of our right to be a little pissed off now and then. I myself didn't care for London but only because I love the city I live in (Liverpool) and didn't really see the point in spending hours in a traffic jam just to walk around another city in England.

I'd definately say of the two Paris is somewhat a more magical place to visit and certainly a place you wouldn't forget.

London! might be a little biased though...i did live there until i went to uni. i've only ever spent three days in paris. i was bored by the third, but it was nice.
I went to Berlin last year and had an amazing time.

The thing i miss most about London now i don't live there is shopping at the markets and shops full of really quirky cheap shit.
