Just so you know, it may take up to 6 months for HIV to be tested in your blood, so you might be testing HIV negative right now and your boyfriend to but there still a chance that either of you can have it. I'm not saying you both have it and I'm not trying to scare you, but I just want you to know how testing works. The rule of thumb it to get tested every 6 months to make sure you are negative.

Please just use condoms though. Regardless of his excuses what will both of you do if you turn out HIV+. Is that a good enough excuse to put yourself in that type of risk. Don't let sex be just about him, its about you too.
