I'm braving the East Anglia Railway Strike to make my way down to Brighton this weekend. Supposedly there's some parade of a homosexual nature happening.

Anyone else gonna be there? I'd kinda prefer not to spend the whole day wandering about on my own....

I really wanted to go but accomodation dissapeared really fast.
Enjoy yourself and update us!

Ugh. I'd prefer Brighton Pride over Amsterdam Pride. (especially since I most likely will be wandering about alone)

Have fun!

I should point out, for the record, that I, personally, am not going to be camping on Brighton Beach. I need a real bed and running water, and I made sure I booked them in January.

But I do work with someone who has (although not for pride). If there's no other way, it's more than feasible.

Unfortunately I can't survive camping. Festival camping put me off for life, with the lack of sanitation, water and privacy. I did try everywhere though, one year I'll actually make it down there.

OP: I'm sure once your down there you will have no trouble talking to and making friends with people.

Go and enjoy yourself, I'd love to go to an event like this :)

And here's me thinking an event such as this would be one for appreciating your fellow man (!)(!)

Was originally going to go to Brighton Pride, but changed my mind when I saw the weather forecast which is......rain and a high of 18C/65F. Brighton Pride is a lot of fun and I prefer it to London Pride as there is a huge carnival-type atmosphere in Preston Park after the Brighton parade. The past few years has seen great weather arrive just in time for Brighton Pride, but this year looks like a washout.

I've been going to Cardiff pride for 7 years, 6 of which absolutely pissed down in Ten Commandment proportions, and last year's (which I was working on) was totally flooded out and had to be cancelled.
