Since we cant agree on facts, lets split America in two countries.

One country is ran by Barack Obama, liberals, and Nancy Pelosi, etc.

The other country is ran by Glenn Beck, George Bush and Dick "I have no pulse" Cheney and the rest of the neo-con gang.

One country is a warm, accepting place, where people value liberty and are socially conscience.

The other place is ruled with an iron fist of capitalism where everything, including people and the planet we live on are given a dollar value.

Now tell me, which country would you rather live in? You can disagree with my characterizations, but isn't this still a good idea?

When the Republicans lose the next presidential election in 2012, then you are going to see the wingbats get more crazy and I would not be surprised to see some violence occur in the country.

Funny you brought this up as I was just talking to a friend of mine about this last week. Slice the USA down the middle..... liberal Democrats on one half and conservative Republicans in the other half.

First off, the Republican side would want to build a wall twixt the two. But they would want Democrats to come in illegally and hoe their beets and do their laundry. "Grrrrr, build the damn thing.....grrrr"

The Republicans would do away with all regulations.... let corporations do whatever they want. Everyone would be white. Christianity is the government approved religion. Abstinence only education so the out of wedlock birthrate would skyrocket. Everyone would be required to carry a concealed weapon. Road rage and bar fights would end up into a hail of bullets.

Republistan would have a huge divorce rate. However, Republistan would have a large stable of rent boys so those clandestine liaisons would be common.

Homosexuality in Republistan? Forget it. You would go to a re-education camp or face the death penalty.

Doesn't sound like a place I'd want to vacation at.

FOX News will be the official, Government-sanctioned News channel.




We need some names for the Left country, as well, to be fair.

United Socialist States of America (USSA)
Liberalistan
Immigrantistan
Socialand
Hippiestan


Since Libs get their news from various news outlets and don't all flock to FOX News, there would be no Government sanctioned TV. However, the prominent players will be:

MSNBC (Mainstream National Barack Channel)
CNN (Communist News Network)
ABC (All Barack Channel)

Not everyone thinks its an insult to be called a socialist. You are on a gay board with alot of very liberal people. Have you ever spoken to gay people before you came here about this kind of stuff?

I wish that you would go to a gay community center and find other young gay people and ask them what they believe and think. You may be surprised.

capitalism doesn't not mean "Socialism for the rich", it means free markets, and we know republicans are more interested in protecting status-quo monopolies.

I am always amazed how people are so quick to use "OMFG That's Socialism!" as a rallying cry to demonize a person, policy or idea, when they don't understand the benificial influences that Socialism & Socialistic ideas have had in their lives - you know, like socialized defense, socialized education, socialized highways, socialized water supplies, socialized parks, etc...

It really makes me wonder if they could even define, academically and in their own words, what Socialism is, and what aspect of it they are actively opposing.

Well, the original post is blind. Democrats are friends of the giant corporations and big capitalists, too; they strive to create conditions where lots of jobs have to move overseas, thereby creating more poor people they hope will become dependent on government and thus vote Democratic. Democrats are no friends of liberty; they really don't believe in private property, and make it hard to start one's own business, so people will have to work for the giant corporations, so later their jobs can be shipped overseas.... And mostly they believe that citizens should be victims, at the mercy of any criminal who comes along, because of course it's better for an entire family with children to be murdered in their home than to allow a law-abiding parent to be able to shoot the armed intruder.

No, somewhere in between Dumbfuckistan and Lalaliberalland we need a country of common sense, where government does what only it can do, but mostly stays out of the way and lets people achieve content, prosperous lives without getting strangled by red tape. I'll call it MindYourOwnBusinessYa, and Benjamin Franklin will be on the $1 bill with his proposed motto for America's currency, "Mind Your Business".
