exactly right - with Roberts and Alito being in their 50s, 30 years is a good projection - I think that any time it is said "it doesn't make any difference" the problems are going to made worse.
 
Personally; I'd like to see a Hillary - Obama ticket .... it would be a Guaranteed win .
But; back in reality ; I do believe that Hillary will actually get the nomination and pull it off ; becoming our next president,
We cannot forget that BILL makes some damm good speeches and has quite a following , still .... combined with Hillary who will get most of the female and a lot of minority votes ... It looks like she WILL be the next president .

Not even Democrats (and I'm one of them) wants Hillary. She's the front runner, she's absonded with the Democratic party, and it's a crying shame.

In the post it asked who "should be" our next president.

Well, if we believe in liberty and equal rights, the only sane choice is Ron Paul. He's one of the few who isn't a fan of a big-government police state, and unless someone else makes some drastic alterations in beliefs, is the only one who actually believes in the Constitution.

That he isn't likely to even get offered the veep slot is indicative of just how little Americans care about liberty, and how much they long for someone to take care of them and make decisions for them.

the dark horse could be Fred Thompson - you might be surprised how many people will remember him as a prosecutor on Law and Order and decide to put another actor in the White House.

I think some forget Fred Thompson was a Senator for almost 10 years.

But this is one of my favourite quotes from him:

"After two years in Washington, I often long for the realism and sincerity of Hollywood."

But then he rears his ugly head:

But it's the truth.

Please tell me if any one of these people get's into office what will change?

Will life start to get better for the average American?

Will this fucking Iraq war stop?

Will the Economy get better?

Will we stop picking fights we can't win?

Will we actually do something about this huge ass DEBT lingering above America?

Will we stop outsourcing Jobs?

Will we do something about Illegal Immigrants?

Please tell me what's going to change?If that's attittude is SO bad to have then tell me what's gonna change?
 
The Republicans have to know that Giuliani's campaign is NOT going to beat Hillary's. There is no way.

I firmly believe that IF the Republicans would back Ron Paul's campaign 100% and Paul would get a fair shake in the mainstream media, that his campaign could defeat Hillary's.

But what he is proposing would piss off so many powerful people.

He feels the Income Tax is illegal and wants to abolish it, along with the IRS.

He wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve, and feels this is doing more harm to this country, then good.

He would get us out of Iraq immediately and bring the troops home.

He would let Israel take care of themselves and keep us out of dangerous International Special Interests ... such as involving ourselves in the Israeli-Pakistan War.

I fear that if he would get in the office, he would be assassinated. I really do.

I think the Republicans would actually rather have Hillary in the White House as opposed to Ron Paul.
