So Why didn't Trump Have Anything to Say about the Quebec Massacre?

Yeah. I went back and re-read the thread.

It had gems like this from Benvolio:

I hate the Pulse killings as much as anyone. But I am frankly glad it was a Muslim. I hope it will help Americans realize the immigration is a major issue in the election. It should be THE major issue. It certainly is Trump's major strength and a major vulnerability for Hillary.

I also re-read what I wrote very carefully. You apparently didn't.

I am asking why an act of terror against people praying in a mosque didn't warrant even a passing response from our neighbour's leader...but an attempted attack at the Louvre did?

I also would ask you and the other anti-muslim, anti-immigrant cheerleaders on here....why are you always so 'Je Suis Wherever', but also so silent on an act of terror by the monster already hiding in the house?

So don't lecture me. I am horrified at every act of terror...and I have already noted that the Quebec massacre was committed by the same kind of mentally disturbed, paranoid, obsessive, radicalized person ans just about every other lone wolf act of terror.

Oh. And try to make sure that you don't use the kind of language that obviously had the mods working overtime to clean your mess up.

And by the way, Trump did offer condolences. Is your Google broken?

Man, rareboy is such a bull shitter.

I am talking about the lack of a public expression of condolences and public comment which is what the article was also about.

The public face of TrumpCo. was to have Spicer try to use this as some kind of justification of Trump's ban.

And then, as I've pointed out, Conway's public expression of 'sympathy' is appallingly bankrupt.

This has been weighing on me for the last week or so...

He seems to be able to tweet about every other goddamned thing and certainly has had no trouble warning everyone about radicalized terrorists...but why so silent on this.

He had no problem tweeting about an attempted attack at the Louvre...but not a word about this.

His minion even talked up a massacre at Bowling Green that never happened, but the only words from the White House were an inexplicable attempt by Spicer to use the murder of people at prayer to justify the Trumpco. ban.

He didn't even offer personal condolences.

Apparently though, I am not the only one who has taken some notice.

In reply, Con way offered the cheapest expression of sympathy that I think I've ever heard in my life.

Really.

Isn't this personal enough for you?

I never used to call people liars, until I met you.

So self serving. And no shame either. #-o

Jesus.

You aren't getting it, are you?

I'm not talking about Trump calling the PM. And his condolences weren't actually that personal, were they.

I don't recall him saying that he shared the grief of the families of the people slain, or the horror of an attack on people at prayer.

I was talking about his twitter silence and public comments about this...not some anodyne report of a call placed to the PM. He certainly has enough to say about everything else....why not this? Is it because it strikes at the very core of his support and so he can't say anything about this radicalized white boy?

My God, I have a box of rocks on my desk that grasped this point.

You are the one who cannot understand. He can and is doing somthing to prevent Islamic terrorism in the US including using foreign events as examples of the danger. There is nothing he can do about domestic crime in Canada. If you want his advice or help you should ask him for it instead of fretting that he has not given enough attention to your problem.

Leave Jesus and God out of it :rotflmao:.

You whined that Trump didn't have anything to say on the shooting, and I pointed out your hypocrisy and showed you that he did. Now, when Trump tweets on stuff you tell him he should shut up, so when he does, you ask why isn't he tweeting about the shooting?

Jeez, make up your fucking mind! You better consult with that box of rocks for your next opinion.

As I noted, you'd missed the point in sentence 2 of the OP. Now you are trying to cover.

Obviously we expect nothing from you and are never disappointed.

Why should he? It's not like it was a terrorist attack. Hell, five people dying in a shooting is like a Tuesday in Chicago.

A local man walks into a mosque and strikes down these five unfortunate Muslim men while praying

There were SIX!!!

What news service is telling you there were only five?

Boo hoo! Trump doesn't pay enough attention to us Canadians .

Ben's faulty grasp of English is once again betraying his illegal origins.

I bet he's COLUMBIAN!! Any thoughts?
I used an app on Facebook which guesses your nationality, by analyzing your tagged photos on that site (I guess).

It said that my nationality must be Colombian!

Just like another app on Facebook said that I post like I'm from LOUISIANA...and on my other account it said that I post like somebody from MAINE.

I mean, Louisiana is about as NonFrank as is possible to be.

Trump has absolutely cited unrelated events that have happened to non-Americans outside of America to justify his current stance.

He cited a backpacker from England who was murdered by a Muslim backpacker (off his meds with psychotic and obsessive problems) in Australia as proof of the need for his immigration ban.

Her mother absolutely refuted his claim that the matter was related.

Makes his silence on the Canada shooting all the more deafening.

I'm betting he doesn't want to overuse the whole shock and awe thing. He's waiting for a big American incident. Shouldn't be too long now.

He cited an Australian case as proof of the need for his bungled stance.
And got called an idiot by the closest person involved for it.

He's scraping the bottom of the barrel to justify the unjustifiable. If anything had ever happened in the USA, he'd be joyous, it seems.

I am amazed how we have become a nation ruled by fear. The Republican Party has become the "fear party" as well as the "party of no." Fear your neighbor -- buy guns, more guns, and bigger guns. You need to carry your gun 24/7/365 because someone may come and attempt to terrorize you in the middle of the country in Nebraska. Fear going into cities for they are cesspools of carnage. The murder rate is 47% higher and at the highest rate ever. Terrorists are pouring in from seven countries in the Middle East and so we can allow only "minorities from those countries" (please read the executive order, this is the section that gets the administration's real point). Of course the minority in these seven countries just happens to be "Christian."

Fear people coming from the Middle East? Hell no. I fear far more for the domestic terrorists that are being self grown in this country and supported by the Republican Fear Rhetoric. None of the seven countries identified in the EO have exported terrorism to this country. Perhaps more people should learn about the home growns in this country except we'd have another way to breed fear.

As to mass shootings, this is an interesting article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/mass-shootings-in-america/
