did you have a nice weekend?

i did. despite the fact that some plans made were canceled and i ended up having to deal with fallout from that... i still had a nice weekend. my only goal (post cancellation) was to do as little as possible and i am relieved to report that i succeeded. ..|

i did buy myself a nintendo ds on friday night and have been enjoying getting to know it all this weekend. saturday night i was on the phone with a guy up east that makes me laugh (if only he weren't so far away!). today i went with friends to an early dinner at a great new tex-mex joint right up the road. and now i'm doing my laundry, watching iron man on dvd and just relaxing.

now its your turn! :)

Actually I had four really good days in a row - including a really good party on Saturday :)

"Partied down"? Neither google nor my dictionary nor urban dictionary seem to know this term.

well it is an older term but in essence "did you have a good time?"

Hey GL. Why haven't we ever left a campfire at 6am?

Seems like we're missing out on something here... ;)

Oh yeah, we left the campfire at 6am :)

awesome!

Really nice, it was Phoenix Pride. Lots of fun. Now I have to go through my camera, get the photographs developed, and scrapbook them.

oh that's cool! hopefully you'll share some of your pics with us later?

that is a logical question and one that i propose we answer.

many times over.

I worked all weekend. :(

Good news is I am off on monday and it is supposed to be sunny and in the low 80's. (!)

I plan on working in the yard most of the day, after sleeping in of course. :D

well that blows! but at least you have tomorrow off and it sounds like you have a plan!

I had a great weekend

took Friday off to load a wood fire kiln

then we fired the kiln on Saturday, I brought my jerk chicken and it was a huge hit

Today I finished laundry and jubbed all day

after finishing a teapot, a plate and a casserole dish!

Definately, however I need to renew my Supporter status so I have room to put up the pics here. Planning on doing everything next weekend.

cool! i look forward to seeing your pics. :)

mmm... jerk chicken.

it sounds like you had a great weekend chato. :)

Weekend went relatively well....but my weekend is my work week (Friday through Sunday), so my days "off" are weekdays. :)

Got three new clients, two of them referrals and one of them via online review. I'm probably going to have my highest monthly gross since returning to the salon.

Had an impromptu dinner with a friend Friday night which was nice. But mostly it was busyness at work, which I'll NEVER complain about. ;)

it makes me happy to see you doing well.

carry on sister!

just make sure and get some rest on your off days. :)

This weekend was exceptional for me. Last night, I went out clubbing with my friends and stayed out until the sun came back up. Normally I don't go for the all-nighters but it was 75 degrees here in Chicago and school's wrapping up for the semester, I'd figured why not. I've worked hard to take a little time off and to get bodied out on the dancefloor.

And my Sundays are always peaceful and quiet. Just hanging out in my room, enjoying the fact that it's pouring rain outside still and planning my every move for the upcoming week.

All in all, I had a good time for once.

it sounds like you had a great time! :D

i had planned to hit the clubs this weekend but it didn't happen. but that's cool. i think i have been so tired and stressed out from work that doing nothing ended up being the right thing.

Nope.

Work yesterday was a disaster and today, the day's only saving grace is that a new Ron White special is airing as we speak...

damn. i'm sorry to hear that. hopefully the special will make it up in some small fashion.

Half of one.Yesterday was the last day of my vacation and was a warm, beautiful April Saturday.Walked a lot and enjoyed being free to savor a lovely spring gem of a day.:D

Alas, reality set in and I returned to the supermarket today.Ugh.A typical busy, messy Sunday....and with warmer weather around the corner, things will be getting even more busy and messy.Which wouldn't be so bad in itself I wasn't the only person scheduled in my department(grocery, responsible for 70% ofthe sales volume in my store)from 2-6pm,just the busiest part of the day!:(:help:

Could be worse though.....the company that owns our supermarket(also owns several more supermarket chains in the area)was trying,as our union contract is up for negotiations to force the union to sign a separate deal with the company for its members in our union. We were definitely ready to end negotiations and walk over the company's proposals of serious pension, health and benefit cuts and givebacks.Apparently, they've backed off and it looks like a settlement involving all union members and all stores is close to agreement, rather than having a separate one negotiated (more like imposed)on those working for my stores and the company.Which is a relief because in my industry NOONE can afford a work stoppage and we didn't capitulate to rough arm tactics.

Some good news on a weary Sunday,at least.

It was pretty craptastic.

And did we lose a day this weekend? Where the hell did it go?

well that is some good news on a sunday.

hopefully all of your negotiations will go through. :)

it sort of feels that way, huh?

i attribute that to spending way too much time playing on my ds.

oh! and i went looking for metroid for my new system... no such luck.

evidently they are pretty hard to come by of late!

I worked on Saturday, but it went by fast, and then partied downtown with my friends, celebrating our friend Beth's 21st birthday and said goodbye to my friends going back to Uni in the next few days, as I wont see them due to going on holiday tomorrow.

I packed my luggage today (which took forever), and had a fairly lazy, yet busy day; listened to lots of music, and had a soak in the bath for 90 minutes (haha) whilst reading Angels and Demons! ..|

Thus, a fairly nice weekend, I'd say! :-)

One day left 'til lift-off!!! (!)

i hope you have a great time mills. :)

It rained all day on Saturday. I didn't do anything fun on Sunday.

I had a lazy weekend.

I did get a haircut.

you guys hot a great deal of rain.

it was pretty rain free this weekend.

I got the sneezles from some bimbo at work, and I had to pick up an extra shift because my boss was desperate for people to work Saturday nite, but I had a freakin great weekend. Why? Because...

Mark Martin WON the cup race on Saturday nite. Fuck yeah!

(!) (!) (!)

:D :D

:sex:

I had some friends over for a potluck on Friday. Only half as many people showed up as I expected, which was a bit disappointing, but it was a nice evening. I was a bit exhauseted from the prep and clean-up, so I ended up sleeping away most of the rest of the weekend. I had lots of good leftovers to eat, though, so that was nice.
