I'm about deutch bundesliga- I can only find schedule for august and september.(((

is anyone watching usa/mexico right now?

Whoops! Wish I'd known you were following, I would have posted throughout - I took the afternoon off work to see it! But the last time I posted about soccer, I spoke only to myself.:-({|= Anyway, good game, the best team won...

So...

Yesterday I watched Arsenal v. Everton, Arsenal was awesome and won 6-1, Everton seemed like the little brothers' team, lost, awestruck, clueless...

Arshavin

Today I watched Liverpool V. Spurs, a terrific game, Spurs dominated and took it 2-1...surprised to see Liverpool seemingly outmatched!

Pavlyuchenko!(ok, for about 1 minute, but still -*|*!) Torres!*|* Gerrard!*|*

Tuesday 8/18: Arsenal v. Celtic at 1945 hrs UK...anybody else going to watch?

Great result for Burnley last night... 1-0 over Man U.

Commentators said the last time they played in the top flight, it was a 1-0 loss to Man U on the last day of the season which relegated them 33 seasons ago... a nice bit of symmetry there, I thought.

Oh... and Arsenal :luv:

I'm an Arsenal fan so I'm loving the Arsenal love in here! :D

Here's the EPL schedule for the month of August. You can toggle between the months at the bottom. I don't about FSC, but I know ESPN have the 07.45 ET (12.45 GMT) match every Saturday. If there isn't a match on at this time, they have one of the 10.00 ET (15.00 GMT) matches. Fixture lists for other European leagues will be available on their sites. Champions League and Europa League fixtures will be available on UEFA.com when they are arranged.

Anyone going to watch Saturday's Man U vs. Arsenal? Can't wait!! Here's a bit of bad news for Arsenal:

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out of Saturday's Premier League clash at Manchester United, which kicks-off at 5.15pm. Fabregas has failed to recover from his hamstring injury in time for the Old Trafford showdown

And Man U will be missing some as well:

Rio Ferdinand and Edwin van der Sar remain Manchester United's major absentees ahead of Saturday's clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson feels Ferdinand may not quite be ready for the trip to Tottenham on September 12 but his recovery from a thigh injury will not keep him out for much longer.

Finally - did anyone watch Arsenal vs. Celtic? I was disgusted by Eduardo - I hate diving with a passion, don't care if "everyone does it", and am hoping he gets slammed for it. I'm sure Arsenal would have won by several goals anyway, but his dive caused a penalty kick that took the game from 0-0 to 1-0 for Arsenal...he seems like a bit of a weasel to me...but Wenger enables / encourages him...

Arsene Wenger has gone absolutely ballistic after UEFA charged Eduardo over his alleged dive against Celtic.

According to the Arsenal boss, Eduardo has been unfairly signalled out due to the power of the media and the number of influential Scots working at European football's governing body. He's also vowed to contest every single decision made by a referee in Europe from now on

The Croatia striker allegedly dived in Arsenal's Champions League qualifier against Celtic on Wednesday night. If he is found guilty, he could be banned for two Champions League games.

Several Celtic figures called for a ban, as well as SFA chief executive Gordon Smith.

At 80 minutes, 3 Chelsea - 0 Burnley... I suppose Burnley can comfort themselves that - if their 'luck' continues - the score won't be any more humiliating. A bit like watching cats play with mice...

Arsenal 1 - 0 Man Utd at the half...

ARSHAVIN!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't put it better myself:

Arsenal goal: He is magnificent, isn't he? Nothing really happening until Andrey Arshavin collects the ball 30 yards out, turns, and then slams the ball into the top corner, via both hands of a diving Ben Foster. The keeper should probably save it, but it's a moment of genius from the little Russian.

Will Manchester take it without deserving it? One dubiously awarded free kick, another own-goal by Arsenal. Go, Arshavin! Save the day!!!

Viva Wenger! Ugly outcome, stupid ref, argh. Man U 2 - 1 Arsenal.*%%* Here's a photo of Nicklas Bendtner, just to cheer myself up...

I'm glad to see Wenger speaking out about the continual, deliberate fouling we see too often (Wigan seemed to rely on that tactic beyond anything else in their match against Everton):
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has accused Manchester United of adopting "anti-football" tactics after a fiery meeting between the Barclays Premier League title hopefuls.

When Wenger refers to "a player who plays on the pitch only to make fouls", he is apparently referring to Darren Fletcher:
"I have seen a player who plays on the pitch only to make fouls," he said. "For me, this is a point that is more urgent than diving.

"The players who are never punished, who get out of the game without a yellow card. I think it is more anti-football than a player who did what Eduardo did.

"Look at how many deliberate fouls some players get away with. That's a bigger problem because it cuts the flow of the game. And people pay to see football, not free-kicks."

Here is BBC's coverage of Wenger's comments:

And to give the devil his due, here is a March 8 interview with Darren Fletcher:

Arsenal have responded to UEFA's 'shambolic' case against Eduardo -

http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_5529637,00.html

'Arsenal have accused Uefa of bringing the charge against Eduardo on video evidence despite not engaging in what the club's lawyers said was "forensic analysis" of the incident to support their case..... They have also accused them of failing to speak to individuals to gather evidence,' reports The Independent.... 'There was no direct evidence from Uefa to demonstrate that Eduardo intended to deceive the referee..... The Gunners' submission also reputedly includes the contention that the UEFA charge is invalid under their own rules which state that "Decisions made by the referee on the field of play are final and may not be reviewed by Uefa's disciplinary bodies."
Seems pretty clear to me watching the event that he was diving, but will UEFA's poor case allow Eduardo to escape any penalty? Or will they just go ahead regardless? badmob's excellent comment:
People at UEFA are just a bunch of numpties run by Platini the numptiest of all numpties. Time for a change let's get an British guy in charge.

Numpty, per Bobby Gould:
A person who never has or never will have a fucking clue what he is doing
