Just returned from seeing the movie. Pretty good. The actor Armie Hammer whom plays the Winklevoss twins is so damn hot!

I saw the movie over the weekend, and I loved it, too. I didn't think I would, but I checked it out anyway, and I am glad I did. And I completely agree about Armie Hammer. He was gorgeous in the movie--doubly so, considering he was playing twins. Throughout the movie, I couldn't help but notice how cute Andrew Garfield was as Eduardo Saverin.

Agreed on Andrew Garfield as well. But he may be too tall I think to be playing the new Spiderman.

I saw this a few days ago. Was better than I thought it was going to be, but everyone in the movie was so unlikeable..... it almost made me want to delete my facebook, knowing how they screwed people over so much.

I hope that you realize that the story is not accurate. They made up most of it.

A little trivia: The restaurant scene was filmed in one of my FB friends galleries:

LOL. Seriously! I hated everyone. And I so want to delete my facebook now too. I just don't want anything to do with these people. It made me hate, poor Jesse Eisenberg. Plus Timberlake's voice was so feminine and weird.

And it was not that inaccurate. i went to BU at the time when all this was happening and my friend from high school went to Harvard and knew some of the guys involved b/c they were his year. So it's not like this totally off base fabrication. And i remember closely all the drama regarding ConnectU.

I don't have a facebook acct. Will that hinder my enjoyment of the film in any way whatsoever? I suppose I could give in and start a stupid fb page, but I feel like I'd be doing it for all the wrong reasons and eventually end up in therapy again. So you see my dilemma?

I can't wait to check out Armie Hammer's performance(s). That's intriguing in itself. It's curious why they didn't hire an actual set of twins to fill the roles. I suppose the Winklevoss brothers are remarkably identical irl?

So, are there any Oscar worthy rolls that stood out for anyone?

I'm gonna say a Best Picture nod is pretty much a shoe-in at this point. The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, save for the usual suspects that hate everything.lol

btw, I was teasing about the fb acct.

I used to have one and I loved playing Farmtown, but when the mortgage crisis hit I had to get a second job and consequently all my crops died.
Then I lost my poor animals. Even my fat-ass pig became emaciated and eventually died of malnutrition.
And if that wasn't bad enough I got into a skirmish with my neighbor while hoeing my last bit of vegetation and....
....it was self defense I swear, he had a fucking shovel!

Anyways, I was just so embarrassed I fled -- a fugitive of sorts.
I've probably got MONSANTO on my ass because I was sharing patented seeds like they were Skittles.... Does anyone know offhand if PETA has any virtual authority?

Eh, the Winkletwin(s) had the most annoying voice.

The hottest parts were Eduardo and the original music by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

A fantastic film with really good performances by Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield.

The film featured so many unlikable people, with Garfield's Eduardo Saverin being the only decent person in the whole thing. The ending scene is sad. Sad. Almost serves as social commentary on the state of things...

I enjoyed this movie a lot. Easily one of my top favorites...Didn't look at the clock once! I agree with many in the thread, Armie Hammer made the movie that much more fun to watch. :D Although I didn't find out until later that he wasn't actually a twin. There went half of my fantasy! :(

The guys at work always tell me I look like Eisenberg when I wear my collared shirts. I think it's just the Jew-hair.

I wouldn't be surprised to confirm this. The movie took some liberties to be sure, but the movie, and the actual facebook story are about this young, privileged entrepeneurial set with elite educations they threw out the window and ideas about the world that are pretty damn repulsive when examined. Cutthroat, hedonistic, self-uncritical and unaware, shameless. I resent the success of people like this. Why can't nice, normal, honest people with humble ambitions and unbombastic art be our society's winners instead of these young capitalist pigs?

is it bad that my favorite part of this movie was seeing that Brenda Song could actually act? After being subjected to her while watching Disney with my niece...it was nice she wasn't all valley girl stupid in this...lol.

I enjoyed the movie...but wouldn't say it was amazing like everyone else is saying. It was kind of cool reliving what facebook used to be when it first started....it's so different now. I remember having to get so many people from my school to sign up so we could actually get a network on it.

I was a little disappointed they hyped the pajama thing as if it was an essential aspect of Zuckerberg's wardrobe. But other than that I enjoyed the ride. I wouldn't want to be that intellegent though; it would be lonely as hell hehehe ___:rolleyes:I'm content with being one of the 'tarded. HAha!

lol, very funny :D ;)

I thought I'd hate the movie 4mins into watching it but I actually loved it. I enjoyed googling the actual people the movie was based on and found that interesting.

I remember back then hearing about Zuckerberg's lawsuit. Glad this movie touched base on that. If this was a superhero movie, they'd all be villains... except maybe Eduardo.

The Winklevoss twins in real life.
