I prefer a softer mattress. How about you?
 
Pretty/very hard. I have a sleep number mattress, and I keep it at 65. I sometimes crank it to 80, though. And I've been known to sleep on the floor without any issue.

I bought a pillow top a little over a year ago and regret it.
 
I can't say soft or hard...we sleep on a Tempurpedic and love it...will never go back to a regular mattress!
 
I like it medium to hard. Soft ones give me back ache.
 
I'd prefer the word 'firm'. Probably a bit less than hard.
