Could anyone recommend some free or inexpensive software to convert cell phone videos (3gp) to mpeg, avi, or other common formats? I've googled it and tried cnet.com and others, but all reviews have been mixed. "Free 3GP Video Converter" was advertised as free, but turned out to be shareware after installation (which I wouldn't mind paying for, but just hated being deceived).

Total video converter. does the job very well. converts any media format to any media format. it is not free, but it is also not that costly. although there are also many ways on how you can get this program for free. if you know what i mean.
