I was reduced to a blubbering, bawling mess watching this (children are featured so I've only posted the link for you to copy and paste ... put http://www. in front of it ... hope that's okay, mods)

It is so easy to forget that the men and women in uniform are also human...

Oh I love me some soldiers. And I have served my country very often, lol.

Soldiers signed up to protect and defend their Nation, and instead they get sent overseas to be used as pawns in a geo-political pissing contest between nations over raw resources. Very sad. My tears are of a different sort.

This was one of the first ones like this I had seen. It still moves me to tears.

Put the two parts of the address together.

I hate war, I absolutely hate and am against it! However, we must keep in mind that the soldiers are human beings as well, with family and friends.
It is really easy to forget they're just regular folks.

The world needs to change. War ain't the answer. Never was, never will be!
It only brings suffering and pain...war only makes victims, not peace!
Watching these videos I feel for the soldiers AS HUMAN BEINGS and also for their family and friends...I cannot imagine the anxiety, anguish, frustration and pain they must go through knowing there's a loved one somewhere overseas in the middle of a war, in constant peril.

*sigh*

When will we wake up and open our eyes? We're all brothers and sisters. We should hug each other, love each other and appreciate one another. We're so different, yet so similar...

A beautiful quote from the movie "Contact":

You're an interesting species. An interesting mix. You're capable of such beautiful dreams, and such horrible nightmares. You feel so lost, so cut off, so alone, only you're not. See, in all our searching, the only thing we've found that makes the emptiness bearable, is each other.
