Some "bad" qualities about Obama

311716.jpg

A lot of people on here act like he's an incompetent buffoon who won't be able to do anything right. Isn't there a middle ground? If it weren't him it would be somebody else, and there are A LOT of worse "somebody else"s.

a - Obama is a dangerously incompetent buffon;
b - there aren't any worse 'somebody else's'. Not by a long shot.

There's a difference, though. He's talking about giving tax benefits to people who don't pay taxes. And not under the auspices of Social Security. Rather, literally treating them as if they've paid taxes.

We already do that to encourage people to work. They're called earned income credits. You have to work to get them.

And what do you call what your VP candidate does in Alaska? She increased a windfall profit tax on the oil companies and redistributed it to the people of Alaska. Every man woman and child received a check for $3,269 this year. So her family gets a welfare check for almost $20,000. At the same time this is going on Alaska is accepting the highest per capita portion of federal funds of any state. Talk about redistributing the wealth.

That's because Mccain's JUB supporters are mute. There have been several invitations to speak about Mccain in a positive manner.

Must've been before I started posting...

What's discouraging about it? If I were a Mccain supporter I wouldn't cower away just because I'm in the minority. Nevermind, I forgot what community we're talking about, hiding in the closet under the excuse of fear seems to be the choice diet.](*,)

This isn't an accurate number, but when it's 100-3, not very encouraging. 3 battling 100 isn't exactly something I'd comfortably stick my 4 cents into!

That doesn't stop me. I've had opinions before that have gotten me in the hot seat but I didn't run and hide just because everyone didn't agree with me. That's what we have Mods for, if things get out of hand, report the post. JUB would be boring and 1/2 of us probably wouldn't even come here if all we ever heard was "Yes, I agree."

It's not the getting out of hand. But when you make a point or a fact, you have 100 people debunking it and criticizing you and writing essays about how you're wrong. Not exactly Full House around here LOL

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that no one has ever been stabbed on the internet.

Didn't you hear about the lady who was arrested for divorcing her online husband and murdering his avatar? True story. Look it up on Yahoo! News. It's a good read LOL!

Wow, those 3 people that aren't Obama supporters think that?
That's pretty idiotic. I don't like him and even I don't think he's a total retard. I might think some of his views are stupid and idiotic, but he does have a vast intelligence. Anyone who can't admit that small fact shouldn't be payed any attention.

That's good to know you believe that.

So I'm guessing you're in favor of the highways only being driven by people who pay federal taxes?

Anybody who purchases gasoline at the pump pays federal gasoline taxes, which are used for highway maintenance (at least that what they're supposed to be used for).

A buffoon? Not by far.
He's got problems, beliefs that make him dangerous, but he's hardly a buffoon.

He is unAmerican, absolutely. Along with the rest of liberals: Michelle Bachman

Rubbish.
Claims like that can only be made from somewhere in la-la-land.
Yes, he has some beliefs that are easily described as unAmerican, but to add "absolutely" makes your statement false.

Perhaps Obama is merely one of what Marx referred to as "useful idiots."

^ Maybe not. To make gay marriage happen, the political landscape has to change FIRST.

If Obama were to come out and loudly proclaim that he was in favor of gay marriage, OH NC MO FL NV CO NH and perhaps a few more states would instantly become "red." (A couple of these states are dead-even right now.) Any hopes of gay marriage becoming the law of the land in the next generation would, similarly, fly out the window.

The fear-mongers are out there in force.

Do you have any idea what the term 'useful idiots' refers to in that context?

From your comment, I suspect not.

Can you provide any reference in the writing of Marx where he uses the term?
I'll answer my own question - No you can't.
