EP is exactly right. THERE is an amazing amount of self hatred in our communties.

Yet, there is an incredible amount of self hatred in ALL communties, certainly in the Western world.

What we need, in my humble opinion, is education, awareness, and programs aimed at postive community building.

A community is not pre-existing, nor is it framed around bars, but instead rests solely in the individuals who comprise.

Thusly, we need to start helping each other up, not bitching each other down.

we as a society accept everyone.... unless theyre different. i dont think its an individual or subculture. i think its a collective thing. the knotion where if you dont fit in, youre out. same goes for tolerance. if you dont accept them, then youre out.

this runs along the lines of "get confidant, stupid!"

Aren't you the straight guy who comes here to post in the Fun and Games forum and then tells us about how so many girls hit on him now that he's engaged?

How does that make you an "insider" on the subject of gays hating gays?

I'll be the first one to say that I can't stand whiners. "Oh, I can't come out because mommy might not love me" or "All gay people are bitches" or "Gay pride is all about sex and drag."

I'll stand up for myself and the gay community and there ain't a fucking thing anyone can do about it. Sorry, homo don't play that.
