Something old, something new

Best to paste them in Paintbox (one of the programs in Windows Accessories on your Start menu) first to see how big they are, then resize them if necessary.

Actually, no. Rareboy was good enough to show us in the first or second week of the new JUB software that we can insert the pic, then select it, and resize it in the post by grabbing the handlebars in the border after it is selected. Works a charm.

I do it and try go keep mine in the same size and not the entire width of the post, although some pics I upsize for effect.

Thank you both. I will pay attention next time.

I remember reading that idea of resizing photos, but had forgotten it--although I don't upload photos much these days. It's nice having a reminder. It seems potentially more convenient than using whatever software one has on one's computer (or tablet or phone or whatever one uses) that can do at least basic editing of a photo.

I don't see why people care.

A lot of people, both on home internet and cellphone, have limited data plans. They don't want their allotment used up unnecessarily.

Also, some have older systems and/or weaker signals that get dragged down by large files.

It's a matter of being polite, and inclusive.

Way back when, I used to post a lot of large animations on line until I realized that many people didn't have the equipment for them. :)
