Visited with my first JUBber, (prairie looner), on Monday night!

What a great guy. He's even more interesting in person than his posts here are.
 
Had a surprise visit yesterday from an old friend who had moved to Palm Springs -I hadn't see her fom about two years. We enjoyed a few drinks in the garden even though it was an overcast day.
 
Yesterday my family surprised me with tickets to the Rolling Stones concert at the beginning of October!

They're playing 2 sold out shows here, which should be a lot of fun. :p

Lucky boy!

I got surprised with a gift voucher for my birthday yesterday to get a tattoo... from my mother, who hates tattoos!

I had to promise to get one in good taste, though... I'm going to get an Epiphone "E," which I'm sure the musicians amongst you would recognise, on my shoulder where the bicep and deltoid meet. I've been drawing the Epi E on me since I was 17.

I got a job!!!!!!!!

The company contacted me with an offer, we have met twice, talked several times on the phone and I accepted the offer and start Tuesday.

I will have then only been off work for two weeks. Sort of avacation, unpaid, but at least I'm getting some much deserved rest.

Yesterday was my Birthday and my BF & I both took off work and had a great play day at the beach and then a wonderful dinner, nice wine and a chocolate cake. he is such a sweety. I'm feeling very blissed right now.(!) (!) (!)
 
Reconnecting with my best friends (a straight married couple) who I fell out with about 4 years ago. I won't get into how we fell out or got back together but seeing them last Sunday night for dinner with their two new adopted Russian daughters that I had never met, was incredibly wonderful.
 
The sunflower outside my window. Must have 100 blossoms on it! And I didn't even plant it -- it just grew.
