I go to a branch of Howard Brown in chicago called BYC.. well anyway its for gay youth such as myself. There were alot of transgendered people in the group I went to two weeks ago.. and they were saying they are offended when they get called HE or SHE... so came up with a politically correct term called ZE. Example to not offend transgendered folks.. we should say.. (Instead of Her, Him, He, She.. etc.)

Oh you have a new zoifriend? Is Ze good to you? How old is ze?

Ok that's very annoying and irritating. I hear women on the phone that are sick and can't tell what they are and I say SIR and they correct me with no issue. But some trans folks get so easily offended.. they have a wig on.. make up.. they are taking hormonal therapy.. but have a beard and you think to respect them you called them she.. and they say NO IM A MAN don't talk to me like that you're so ignorant!

I mean in that situation should I be confused or what?

I get irritated when i gotta say African-American, Asian-American, Caucasian, Hispanic-American, oh the hell with it BLACK WHITE MEXICAN ASIAN...

THERE THATS easier. I'm not gonna make MY life more complicated for the comfort of others over something so little. Now if i called a black person asian.. thats different.. but nobody really does that! You can call me gay, homosexual, queer, i dont care its all the same thing you dont see ME making a big uproar about it! People need to stop being TOO LIBERAL and stop worrying about alot of this unimportant shit. Its not racist or intolerant because I didnt mention anything about groups.. its just these terms.

You can't say someone is pissed off.. you gotta say they have Anger-management disorder. I was told that when i was in a public school back in 1995 when i was 7 or 8.

Eh, aye pretty much agreed. I'm not sure how far political correctness goes on your side of the atlantic but it can be a fucking nightmare over here. Any criticism of islam, for example, is deemed "islamophobic," no matter how valid the criticism is. Thankfully, christians seem to be free game though, seeing as they're the minority here now, among the white population.



There's an ingrained inability to determine context in society these days. One of my most hated phrases these days is

"I don't know whether or not to be offended by that!"

Offence is reflex response to something jarring with your sensebilities, it's not a fucking descision. It's like these fucking hypocrites that will sit and tut if you tell an un-PC joke but will happily sit and piss themselves laughing at something just as close to the bone on TV.

Being a Liberal is a simple thing. Most people don't let it affect their mindset or how they talk to people.

Those transgenders in your group, they have a right to be called Ze, but I have a right to call them complete idiot's, and to just deal with things. I work in an extremely straight environment, and I went to school in an extremely straight environment, and heard some extremely fucked up things that made my blood boil(metaphorically speaking), but most times I let it past because I know what they actually mean, and I know that people won't change anytime soon.

Isn't really about being a Liberal, more about being a person living in today's society. Just gotta roll with the punches... And if it's in the form of a smack over some he/she's head for being overly sensitive, so be it.

Frankly I stopped worrying about this kind of thing after gay and lesbian went glbtasdf@keufjnjdhyrhdjjfbi&J#oodsoheieio.

Anyway, liberalism as a political philosophy doesn’t require that people be PC, it attempts to guarantee that you don’t have to be. PC is pretty much a thing of the slightly left mainstream, and a casus beli for people who think Obama is a liberal, than it is about people who are actually liberals and can actually define the term.
