I just thought I would check in to how the rest of you are doing...

The east is seeing highs in the positives... The west is getting pummelled with snow... and of course... Saskatchewan is in the cold... it's odd everywhere else, but we're getting our usual cold snap.

-33 right now. YES! :gogirl:... although it was -44 earlier today with the wind... but since the wind has died down, there really isn't a windchill. I suppose I should be grateful for that. Global warming my ass. (I actually do think there are some effects occuring, but it's just that we aren't seeing them... at all).

I suppose this was mainly directed toward the Canadians on the board, but everyone feel free to contribute... I need to feel the love... helps keep me warm and all that. (!)

EDIT: This thread also served the purpose of removing the "reminding" I had glaring at me... "We noticed you haven't posted in a while... find a thread... participate... etc, etc, etc."

BC Interior here....it is minus 17 but with the bitter windchill, more like minus 25. Nasty. It was balmy and warm on Sunday but we had rain early this week and the deep freeze hit immediately after that so it is sheer ice everywhere...roads, parking lots, sidewalks. Nasty!

Yeah, we had a bit of a snow-storm last night... and the roads were icy after. With all the wind, it just blows and blows and polishes any ice on the roads. :(.

Saskatoon and northern Saskatchewan got pounded with snow though. The university closed down, as did the schools I think. I never had school cancelled :(.

We are getting the canadian air here for the next few days. Today we topped out at 20 F and tonight right now it is 8 F. It snowed most of the day today but was real powdery and didn't stick to the road. Tomorrow is supposed to be even colder. :help:
We're supposed to get down into the low to mid 30's for highs by Tuesday lasting much of the week, but the real cold air has avoided us so far.Hopefully,it stays that way,but February can be brutal here,so we're not out of the woods at all yet.Wish I could send some of last weekend's record warmth, but can only send (*8*) (*8*) (*8*) (*8*) (*8*) (*8*) instead to keep you warm,X!

If you weren't a Canadian, or a fellow Saskatchewan resident, I'd send my ninja cats after you for the title of this thread...

:D... This is the most talked about conversation-piece here... everything somehow reverts back to the weather. You know it, I know it... so let's stop beating around the bush, and just get right to it... so... about that weather. :p

30's? That is a heat wave. :p

My toes are cold. :help:
Well,it is kind of cold, actually, fairly normal cold for us.When we have those few days of teens to low twenties highs and near zero lows, the weather casters have a field day and we bitch incessantly...how is the usual Oregonian winter?Oh yes,for the cold toes....boots would be nice, and wearing socks and warm slippers does it for me!

A sunny 23C (75F)

Jealous? :D

No... I kinda prefer colder weather. ;). My body is more suited toward it than the +30s we get in summer. Hot weather is nice and all... but cold frigid conditions screams home to me :p... plus... it's good for cuddling. (!)

By Sunday, the long streak of above-average temperatures in western Illinois will probably end at 35 consecutive days. They're talking about us getting whacked by an ice storm (NOT "a nice" storm) starting probably later today, and could be rain/snow/sleet/freezing rain (yes, all are possible) through Sunday.

I was supposed to go to Chicago Sunday (a 500 mile round trip) but I've postponed it. The weather was only the clincher, bad finances (which should be much different and better well before the end of January) already made the trip unlikely, and I'm using the opportunity for a 7-years-overdue total rearrangement of my office.

A beautiful sunny, 30 c, here. Very nice. Not an ice storm in sight!

global warming is kicking our ass, i haven't even used my new lacoste umbrella :(

I guess it is all relative. We are at a balmy -8 F right now. Balmy because we have just come off a week of -35 to -40 F. Might last a while with the warmer weather as it is a large low pressure moving in. But after, who knows. But we get out and play all the time until it gets to about -25 F (ambient) then it does begin to hurt. Hope to get some snow machine riding in this weekend. First have to be domestic and clean the house.

Snow and ice on the ground outside, -4C, far too cold for me. The storm that hit us hit Vancouver and Seattle later in the day.
