a few tips:

*be sure you are wearing well-fitting, supportive shoes
*consider removable cushioned insoles
*elevate your feet whenever possible (presumably after work)
*exfoliate your feet regularly and use pumice or file to keep calluses down
*use lotion or moisturizer on your feet, especially areas where the skin is rough or thickened
*get a foot massage whenever you can convince someone to do it--may lead to further relaxing activities! (if you can't find a volunteer, most pedicurists include a foot massage with the treatment)

take care of those tootsies! they have a long way to carry you!

Good shoes, not necessarily the most stylish or what ever is in at the time. If you can don't stand on concrete, get a rubber mat or a good thick carpet to stand on.
I remember a place, engineering/drafting house, I worked at moved to a new building, after a couple of weeks a bunch of started to complain of sore feet and legs. COme to find out the carpet layers cheated on the under padding. Cost them plenty to tear it all up, install the pad that was ordered and "new" carpet.

Find one of those menthol/eucalyptus cold rubs made with petroleum jelly. Here in the states we sell several and Vicks Vapor Rub come to mind first. Wash and soak your feed in hot water, as hot as you can stand it. Dry them well and rub the menthol/eucalyptus cold rub on your feet. Put on thick socks and go to bed. Tomorrow morning your feet will no longer be sore and will feel so good.

Good news.
There are two products on the market now that work
like a miracle for me.
I have had foot problems and toenail problems for years.
Both are history. These are the two most important
of six topical treatments I use once or twice a day.
Standing on your feet, and standing on my feet is
very important, but takes a toll.
These two important topical treatments are:
AmLactin 12% Moisturizing Lotion
and Lamisil AT. Put the Amlalcltin on the heels morning
and night. Your thick, perhaps cracking skin will disappear.
You will feel a coolness you will probably not remember.
And the skin will be as soft as that on your penis. It works.
The Lamisil AT will end foot fungi and its twin, sweaty
and stinky feet. It is work, but it is rewarded with feet
that say, "I love to stand up." "Wear sandals and show me
off, maybe that man over there will want to lick our toes."

I'm probably the only guy, gay or straight (or bi :P) who would consider wearing heels, no matter how masculine they look, but if I wear them the right height (2-3.5") with a cushioned insole, and the right thicknes (thickr the better, imo) it REALLY works wonderfully. however, I'm a catfoot person (walk with my heels in the air, without shoes) so that's probably why...

but thoe air-heel shoes seem to look comfy.

By OSHA rules in the US, if you stand a lot, you need to have an anti-fatigue mat. These things really really work. They don't come in that many colors though, and they aren't exactly "pretty." But they will work.

I can also recommend the Dr. Scholl's "Gel" insoles. What you really need is "springiness", something compliant, meaning it compresses when you push on it. The anti-fatigue mat, good shoes, or insoles will do this.
