I believe that there is, but they're not always in form/gender that we want them to be in.

Personally, I think that we waste too much time worrying about whether or not the person that we're with "is the one," instead of just enjoying what they have to offer, what they can teach us, and the roll that we can play/share in their lives, and their lives with ours.
It's the journey, and not the destination, and so long as we're surrounded by people who love us for who we are, we'll never be alone.

Yes! I do believe there are soul mates for everyone! But ... I also believe there is not just ONE! There are hundreds, if not thousands, "out there"! It's just a question of recognizing one when you run across them! (And, allowing/knowing when to "take advantage" of the situation when you do find one!)

I believe so...and like Chaz said, I believe in there being more than one. I also believe in relaxing and just enjoy life instead of actively and obssessively searching for THE ONE...if you relax and just enjoy yourself I believe you'll find one of THE ONE's much more easily....why? Because you'll be more open to whatever comes your way.

There is only one person out of 6 billion I could be with right now, and I'm with him, till death do us part.
He was worth waiting for, and nothing with anybody else could simulate it or approximate it, or substitute for it. I can't say I totally saw it coming, but I knew it when I saw it and it was unmistakable.
Not really "love at first sight" but somehow we both knew how our future could look, very early on, and the more we knew each other the clearer it became. If ever that vision was clouded for even a second, we had trust in each other to find the way forward.
Before him, I believe there would be nothing wrong with enjoying life along the way, in the company of different people, but it would be stupid, and possibly cruel, to pretend with anyone else that he is The One.
If I lost him somehow, I would not die of loneliness. I would be free to look for another. Not a replacement, but maybe someone else of the same "magnitude" could exist. Who knows? But if not, I'd happily be single forever for the time we have and the time we've had.

I believe we have soulmates. I believe that when our soul is brought to this earth we were split from someone. I know religion is a touchy subject and I respect and study many religions...but when the time is right in our lives God will send our soul mate to us. And I agree with what some have said...there is the "click" factor. You will (as all of us have) click with many people...but when you find the one...its like no other "click". Its the one that when he kisses you...the world stops and everything is right. When he hugs you, he hugs you so tight...as if he were to let go he would lose you. The one who makes you feel beautiful, even when you dont think you are. So yeah...sorry to go on and on...but yes there is a soul mate out there for everyone.

Are we talking about having a soulmate, a relationship, or both?
Anyway, I cannot say that I believe in the term soulmate, in and of itself. There are people to whom we have connections and attractions; however, I cannot say that I believe that there is something mystical, magical, or mysterious about it. I cannot say that I have belief in a soul in the purest sense of the word.
As far as relationships, there are some people who are destined to be alone for the rest of their lives. Whether or not it is their intention is another subject. Even if there are soulmates for everyone, it does not mean that one will end up in a relationship with him, her or them; one may not even cross paths with the person or people.

I believe that soulmates are not meant to be destined, as you should not rely your life on fate..
Ofcourse, destiny is a big factor of life...and most of the time we rely on fate but if you're not going to go and search and make the effort..then ofcourse you don't deserve it.
Even if the person was not meant to be your soulmate, you can change life to make him yours. You know what I mean? If you wants to, you can change yourself, habits, understandings, everything to make it work.. Those who say "he was not meant for me" did not put enough effort into love and are relying too much on destiny to live the life for them.
And..if you're going to live a life revolving around just pessimistic idealism, then you shouldn't live it at all and does not deserve to.
(Which, does not mean you should end it! So for those who are thinking crazy, slaps yourself)

You can even make the next guy that stands next to you at the bus stop your soulmate if you want to, indifferences or not..its all about doing your best to change and adapt.

I also believe that you can love more then one person because love is infinite or something. Even if you find someone you are really compatible with and you really like and are soul mates or whatever. There is a good chance that someone else shares his characteristics since people are so different. So there is probably more then one person out there. Cause I mean if your soul mate gets shot then your kinda fucked and have a life of lonliness and depression. But because people divorce, lose a partner, and find some way to move on or sometimes find another partner. And because people change so much. There is probably more then one person out there for ya.
So searching for the PERFECT person is probably impossible.

I don't believe in "soulmate". That implies that there's one and only one person out there that you'll be totally happy with, and if the guy you're with isn't it, you'd best dump him and get looking for the "correct" one. "Soulmate" is fine for romantic books and movies, where you hit a "THE END" and the scene fades out at a moment of eternal bliss. But see, life ain't like that. You wake up the next morning with Prince Charming, and you have to decide who's making breakfast, and who's gonna be the top NEXT go round, and whether to sleep with the window open or closed, and and and...
I believe, for every one of us, there exists a bunch of guys we could have wonderful LTRs with. That doesn't mean that you can just find one, and there - you're done. Good LTRs take work, nuture and care. But if both people put in the effort, the relationship can kick ass.
