I have now tried it for the first time and it is amazing!

Actually, if you want to try sounding before you invest in the sounding rods, you can go to any surgical supply store and get hard silicon catheters, They will do the same thing, unless you insert it into your bladder...then you will drain your bladder. They come in different sizes, from 10FR to about 20FR. I wouldn't go for the 20 FR too soon though. That's like putting a garden hose up your dick. Go for about a 14 FR, but make sure it's not the red rubber kind. They're too soft. Get the clear silicon type, which is more rigid.
