I've seen Bacon and Black Pepper in the stores here. I saw a travel show that said Spam is still very popular in Hawaii and all these flavors were available there. It was introduced to the islands during world war 2 and remained popular there since.

If you are going to cook SPAM, there is a ratio of crust to core that is important, if I recall. Slice it too thickly, and you'll actually taste the offal instead of the char.

It's a lot like scrapple that way. I like spam but eat it maybe once a year, it just ain't good for long-term consumption.

We had it when I was growing up and today it it one of our comfort meals.

Lightly breaded and fried, served with creamed corn and garlic mashed potatoes.

It is also good with fried green tomatoes and grits.

Is that bacon with black pepper or are they 2 separate flavours? I would like to try it if it's combined, but I'm not so sure that my local grocery store even sells Spam.

^2 different flavors, I found variety packs on Amazon's grocery. I'm sorely tempted, but I'd prolly have to host some sort of shindig - I just want to try it, not be forced to eat the whole can.

I am a fan of Spam. I've eaten it as part of a hot Spam & cheese sandwich; ground up with mayo as a sandwich spread; baked with a brown sugary glaze; chopped into small bits and mixed with mac & cheese; and cut up and mixed with scrambled eggs.

My Dad once told me eating Spam would grow hair on my chest. It hasn't yet.

I also like corned beef hash served with eggs and bacon and jelly toast.

Same here, no idea what the Tocino one is.

I didn't know it came in any other flavors. I had it a few times as a kid, not much recently. Since it is ground up, I didn't trust what was in it, but I might try it again on occasion.

You can just put it on the grill and baste it or not with some bbq sauce.

It has to be sliced a little thicker, but it holds up well.

Hickory Smoke

That's all. I was disappointed.

If nutrition wasn't a concern, I'd enjoy eating Spam. We've had at least 5 varieties at home at some point, but not regularly and not lately, although there might be a few cans in the back of the pantry.
Hickory Smoke -- seemed like a good idea -- it was okay
Bacon -- because, well, BACON!
Roasted Turkey -- the nutrition profile is much more acceptable. Tastes like you'd expect.
Low Sodium
Regular -- consumed during my childhood either fried as a breakfast meat, or sliced right out of the can for a sandwich on white bread with ketchup.

My father would occasionally make western omelettes for Sunday brunch. After my first one, I requested mine spam free. I couldn't stand that gelatinous muck!

The Try Guys did Spam. I don't know about the reconstituted meat but there are several tasty varieties of men in this video. I especially like the second pair, who appear 17 secs in. I could spend all night gobbling their Spam.
