I've never been able to agree to donating sperm and waiving my parental rights and I've been asked several times if I would do that. I just can't. I have a lot of respect for people who can do so, and who help but this recent US case makes me wonder just how binding a legal contract can be if the state can chuck it out over a loophole.

A US sperm donor is being sued for child support costs by a state agency for helping a lesbian couple conceive a child.
The Kansas Department for Children and Families is seeking child support from Topeka man William Marotta, 46, who donated sperm to lesbian couple, Angela Bauer and Jennifer Schreiner in 2009.
