After many, many, many months - rumors of the Spice Girls tour, it is finally, official. Simon Fuller, the Executive Producer of the show, American Idol, and the former Band Manager of the Spice Girls, released a statement saying the girls are indeed coming back.
The photo attached which was taken two months ago, when the rumors began to take full flight, was a secret photoshoot/band meeting in which the girls have signed to come back for a runion tour this year and early 2008.
There are no tour dates yet, and a greatest hits album along with new music is in the works, but the tour is expected to be a full world tour, where each Spice Girl will make $12.5 Million.
News has already spread all over the world. On April 2, 2007, Ryan Seacrest of the Los Angeles hit radio station, 102.7 KIIS FM, announced the news to over five million listeners. The feedback is good news for the Spice Reunion, and apparently a poll taken by CNN of nearly 56,000, said that 79% of those polled, want a spice reunion.
Plans for a tour won't happen just yet, Mel B (Scary Spice) has just had her baby, and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), is planning to have her child this June. A tour is expected sometime around August or September.
It seems that the Spice Girls have no choice, but to come back. Get ready world, the Spice Girls are back.
