Spider-Man 3

I was disappointed but then I was never a big fan of the first two films. It was too long and sagged in the middle. They could've cut a lot out and made a better paced movie. It was very cheesy especially Peter strutting down the street and dancing in the Jazz club. There was definately too much crying at the end but I'm glad they didn't set it up for a fourth film (although Sam Raimi claims there's a script). I still think of them more as kids movies than Burton's Batman movies and Batman Begins.

Sony confirmed that this isn't the last one though I think they should end it before they run it into the ground. IGN just revealed that a character who seemed to die will rise again in the next film(venom). There is also talk that the lizard maybe in it as well.

hmmm.... first of all let me say that this wasn't a horrible film... it...to me ... was quite enjoyable....

Yes... it is probably the weakest of the 3 but not horrid... its nowhere near as bad as Elektra or Hellboy...

Second... Im taking a wild stab in the dark here ...but with all the villains I'm thinking that their gearing up for a plot with the Sinister Six sometime soon....

anyway...just wanted to add my 2 cents....

I'm really just hoping they wait no less than 5 years to do 4. I don't want another one anytime soon because I like the three and their overall story as is, unlike X-Men which needs a #4 pronto to undo the mess that was The Last Stand.

Apparently they'll still make another movie even if it's with a different cast. Tobey Maguire doesn't seem too keen on doing more nor is Kirsten Dunst.

the lizard may be in it as well
Well that wouldn't surprise me as Doc Connors is already featured (particularly in Spiderman 3).

Sinister Six
In the cartoon from the 90s they were known as the Insidious Six but then Doctor Octopus was one of the Insidious Six and he's already been featured and killed off.

I saw it this afternoon and enjoyed it. In my opinion, better than 2, but I think 1 was the best.

At times I felt like I was watching some weird musical...

I thought it was the worst of the three.. I enjoyed it, my roommate and I had a bunch of laughs throughout the movie, just how ridiculous it was (IMO)..

I still enjoyed it, good Saturday night flick...

Speaking of which... Saturday Night Fever much!!!

^^^Yeah that's what I've been saying to friends and stuff. It was definitely the worst of the three, just like X-Men the Last Stand, but unlike X-Men, it's still pretty enjoyable and isn't outright terrible. It didn't leave me wishing they'd make a 4 soon to undo the mistakes in 3 like with X-Men.

I thought it was really really bad...I liked the first two a lot...second one was def the best. This one was just I can't even put into words how bad it was. That freakin' "emo-spiderman" that he turned into when he was venom was RIDICULOUSLY stupid(the hair..and pretty sure a little eyeliner) come on now!!

I hate Kirsten Dunst but she was def the best thing about this movie.

I was almost willing to take you seriously bostonboy until you said Kirsten Dunst was the best thing about the moive. Now I know you have to be kidding.

hahah....she wasnt' great...but out of all the performances....she was probably the best of the group.....though Topher Grace was pretty good as well.

Peter looked soooo hot when he was bad. I LOVED that he went to Harry's house to kick his ass. Remember from the 2nd that Harry bitch-slapped him not once but twice. Harry was sexy, minus the burned face. And I simply adore Kirsten Dunst.

Odd thing. I gave my thoughts above from when I saw it Friday night. Saw it again tonight because I had promised my recently married friend I would take her and the hubby to dinner and a movie--they picked Spiderman, and I didn't want to tell them I had seen it.

Here's the odd thing--I loved it second time around. My expectations and the build-up from the hype were gone, and I watched it as an adult comic book superhero film about young 20 somethings navigating issues of career, friendship, identity, regret--even the stuff that got on my nerves the first time won me over this time.

Very rarely happens to me, but it was a pleasant surprise.

I saw it this afternoon. It was ok, the CGI stuff was great. I thought they threw a bit too much plot into it for one movie. I did enjoy some of the previews, especially the new Harry Potter flick. And I thought the bad Peter Parker was pretty hot, regardless. I love the messed up hair, as compared to geeky Peter.

Well, with the commotion of the first weekend record earning going on right now, the interesting follow-up will be 'how much Spidey 3 hold up in the 2nd week?'

We all know that great movies at box office are those that get audience to watch more than once. I know I would for the first 2. With this one, I am not so excited. So, perhaps Spidey 3's real problem is the lack of interest for a repeat??

Anyway, I am happy that Spidey broke the records. Hope it would stay for a long time, no matter how the buzz for the Pirate 3 is like.
