spinach

And of course, there's creamed spinach...

I make a really quick delicious creamed spinach I will wilt the spinach in a coated pan with non stick spray, add some onion & garlic powder, sprinkle of salt, cracked black pepper some cream cheese maybe 2 or 3 oz and some lemon juice very quick to throw together and incredibly yummy YOU WILL CRAVE IT!

I almost always prefer cooked vegetables, but I enjoy spinach raw or cooked, fresh or frozen, alone or in combination. Canned is okay cooked in something. In most cases, I don't care if vegetables (or other foods) are alone or in combination, but I don't think it's weird to dislike certain ones alone, especially if the texture is distinctive.

For the gardeners -- a hot-weather-loving plant (unlike spinach) that tastes like spinach is Malabar spinach (it goes by various names). It's a leafy vine that most bugs and some deer won't bother. Weirdly, our deer ignore it, but the deer a couple of miles away like it. It's fleshier than real spinach, but similar in flavor.
