I had my tongue split (bifurcated) about 6 weeks ago. It hurt pretty bad for about 2 days, and any discomfort subsided within 10 days.

It's one of the coolest things I've ever done. I'm not into piercings (except nipples) or tattoos, but for some reason I have always been strangely attracted to the idea of having a split tongue.

I've been working on training my tongue, such that the two sections operate and move independently of each other. It's amazing what it can do, and the benefits with my boyfriend are amazing! When I kiss him, I can wrap my tongue around his and grab it. It feels great for me, and he likes it too. Even better, when I'm sucking his dick I can wrap my tongue around more of his dick. He says its a much noticeable difference.

I had a noticeable lisp for about 4 days, but it's gone away. Or at least I think is has. My boyfriend is deaf so he obviously can't tell me if I have one or not ;)

No to both of those... though a PA isn't as creepy to me as a split tongue.

The nice thing about having the split tongue is that no one would ever know unless someone were closely examining my tongue. I can keep the two parts together when I stick my tongue out, so it can look very, very normal.

It also feels awesome even just inside my mouth. And I know I'm young and it could be one of those decisions I may regret in the future, but I seriously doubt it! It's not like I'm going to have any kids I need to set an example for lol. Plus I can always get it sewn back together if I like.

Then that's an awesome excuse for me never to get it! It looks like the US Military doesn't allow them. I'll just add that to the list of things why the military wouldn't let me join in the first place! :P
