Split tongues... anyone?

Do they just take a knife and cut? Did you have a doctor do this or what? What kind of anesthesia was used? What kind of sterilization and follow up care to prevent infection?
 
Body modification just doesn't do it for me - I don't even have an earring or a single tattoo - but I do sort of admire people brave enough to do it.

Whats funny to me is I have AS and am not suppose to be able to tell emotional stuff like this, but in two threads last night I was the guy who got what you were saying. I don't get it.;)
 
its fully healed now, and has nice, rounded edges where the incision was made, to make it look more natural.

i fucking love it!

Yeah, I agree -- my body has been modified *plenty* out of medical necessity. I'm not going near anything or anybody who wants to cut on me. I won't even do laser eye surgery, although I'd probably get a lot of benefit from it.

I would, however, get my ears pierced. I had a ear stud in the mid 80s but let it grow over. I love earrings on a guy with a shaved head (like me :) ). A tiny piece of black onyx, turquoise, or garnet (my birthstone). It'd look hawt. ..|
 
No offense to the OP, but tongue splitting gives me the heebie-jeebies. It always reminds me of the snake dude and the vampire chick too.
 
I think it's quite funny looking but in a good way. I imagine if I got one done I would drive myself crazy, constantly poking my tongue (s?) in and out of things and licking things twice just for good measure.

Children across the land would be tormented by me constantly sticking out my tongue (s?) at them and i'd laugh endlessly at the fun i'd have doing it.

I'd also find other body modification groups, especially those without the forked tongue look and take great pleasure in being the only one with the modification and be against those who disagree with my choice.

This part is quite annoying, but it's so awesome at the same time! The only thing I don't like about having a split tongue is the fact that I can't wear my tongue ring anymore. Oh well, not a big deal! (!)
 
I think it's cool. I've never seen one in person, but I hope to one day. I have a PA and it was very painful, but the pain goes away by the time your pants are back up. That was very hard to stretch. I stated at a 10g and am now only at a 4g after 1.5 years. I hope to go to a 2g soon and that's as big as I plan to go.

I have a septum nose ring , only 14g (in the center like a bull). I had a labret (lower lip piercing) it got infected when I got it and I had a hard time saving it and I had to take antibiotics for it and see a doctor. Then it got swollen like it was getting infected again several months later so I took it out.

I also have my ear lobe piercings stretched to a 0 gauge. I had a regular piercing in for almost a year before I decided to stretch them. I went from and 18 gauge to a 0 gauge in about 4 months. In January I hope to stretch them to a 00. :gogirl:
