Who's using it?

The award-winning music service that's taken Europe by storm has landed on US shores. Millions of tracks ready to play instantly, on your computer and your phone.

Any track, any time, anywhere. And it's free!

just got my invite...thanks to Chiddy Bang! woot! haha

need to play around on it and check things out

I always thought years ago that there should be a radio station that you could connect with to access the specific music you wish to hear and now it is possible - yay :)

got an invite thanks to britney. havent started using it yet, but ill have to start soon~

I don't think this is something I'll use a lot...I was listening to an album and it kept on getting stuck on the commercials and wouldn't let me play anything cause it hadn't played the commercial.

Spotify sounds great. I would use it, but I have so many songs on my phone that it defeats the purpose of using the app. It sounds like an excellent option to free up space on a portable device for other data. I had this issue with Pandora. I'm trying to use an app by playing music I already own, which I can listen to without commercials or ads, and my own music selection is what I want to hear without random suggested songs thrown in.

I tried using it and wasn't all that impressed with it.

Still hasn't made its way to Australia, despite suggesting the arrival of the service back in March.

I am trialling a similar service called Deezer. Works well.

^^ Use Rdio is better

Here in the netherlands we have spotify now for a while and believe me everything is going to change when first was available you have total free access for 6 months then change to 10 hours per month I've been paying my premium account now like for more than a year an a half I use it all the time

I uninstall iTunes the first time I use it! Guys spotify is amazing!

I use it. I'm a bit annoyed with the radio option. A lot of the bands or artists...I'm not as impressed with. I prefer that option they had before one of the updates where you check off the various genres you want to be played. I'm surprised they took this option out.

^^ You can still do that just go to the radio app and then scroll down and you find all the genres

Damn. I fail so hard. Thanks.

actually...I tried it...you can't mix and match genres. If you click a genre, that's the only music that will play. What if I'm in the mood for classical and rap? O_o

Spotify arrives in Australia and New Zealand!

The popular music streaming platform now has more than 10 million users and three million paying subscribers.
Last year Spotify finally, after several delays, launched in the US, taking the service beyond Europe for the first time.
The expansion into Australia and New Zealand marks another chapter of growth for the service started in Sweden by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in 2008.
The Australian and New Zealand offering is the same as the rest of the world – with a three-tiered service. Users can either access 16 million songs for free but interspersed with adverts. Or for either $6.99 or $11.99 a month, the adverts will be switched off and mobile access granted

I've used Spotify ever since it was introduced here and I absolutely loved it. But suddenly, I only had 10 hours of play a month, and that was spent fast, unfortunately. Since I couldn't do without it, I'm currently on the free premium trial version. I think my trial experiences in short time, but I love it so much - no commercials, just seek on an artist or song, and play. I probably gonna end up buying for it afterwards. it's perfect and just works.

^^This is actually not a problem at all. The great things about Spotify is that it syncs with the music from your computer, so all the songs you have will automatically be transfered to a folder in the app, called "Local". It's brill!

I've used it abit. It's great for when I study and need to have some music to play to keep me in my drive. Plus it surprisingly has a lot of my favorite artists so I can't complain.

It just became available in Australia today. Will test it out.

Sony Unlimited is making its debut here shortly too.
