Spray-on Tans?

okay the OP wants a tan guys. he's chic to know sun damage isn't hot.

the whole idea of getting a sun tan, is about looking like you have been sun kissed not sun burned. no one wants a sunburned look unless you're from like new jersey.

i have olive skin, luckily i can tan easy in the sun. but i prefer to do the faux tans.

my fave self tanner is from Mychelle called Del Sol. It's was developed by a woman from Colorado, so the color is very light and will gradually build up with repeat uses. Plus it's paraben, edta, propylene glycol, and mineral oil free, completely non toxic. Plus the DHA that is used to "warm up the skin" is made from sugar beets.

Remember to exfoliate before hand, again I recommend Suki Organic Sugar Scrub or Mychelle Fruit Enzyme Scrub, all non toxic. Then apply your toner, your moisturizer and then self tanner avoid hair line areas (brows included). Wash your hands thoroughly!!!

happy tanning and ignore the haters.

Thank you for a reasonable response. However, I really don't want products per se (seems more trouble than it's worth). I was looking for insight into the spas, etc that provide spray-on services.

I remember the episode of Friends.

However, since I'm used to actual sunlight, I just tan by *gasp* going out into the sun a little bit. I can't see how covering yourself in fake tan is any better for your skin than generating a little Vitamin D the natural way.

A little bit of sun never killed anyone, unless s/he was stricken with XP.

I burn in a heartbeat, so I avoid sun exposure. Having dealt with a 25 year old who died of melanoma, I'm not going to take chances with the sun. People who bake in the sun or a tanning bed are just stupid.

Man, there a lot of jerks around here. Why would an idiot take an innocent thread and turn it into a racist issue? I resent the implication that I'm racist towards darker skinned people yet want a tan. I'm as far removed from racist as is humanly possible (I tend to be attracted to darker skinned people to begin with).

Some people can take a thread about steamed turnip and turn it into a racist issue.

As for your question, just go to Google and search spa spray tan (250,000 hits) or spa spray tanning (738,000 hits).

I was looking for advice from people who had experience, not really for info about the process.

Evidently no one on JUB has ever done it.

Who said that the chemicals in the fake tans are good for your skin?
Apart from that - a *responsible* exposure to the sun will give you a healthy tan, and the danger of a skin cancer is low. Over-doing (sunburns!) it are the problem.

Thanks, Patrick. That's awesome information. By far the most helpful post on here.

I don't really like tans. Why do you want to look like a field hand? Just go with the skin color you get from your day-to-day life and grab some confidence. It's much sexier if a guy is cool and comfortable in his own skin (excuse the pun).

Remember you can also tan in the shadow. And keep away from the Axe tanning cream.

^ Isn't it fun to try to help people who only want to have their own preference approved ;) ?

bloody awefull
safer yes but that orange look is enough to make u puke
or laugh
or both at the same time

Ah.

Thereiin lies the rub - G_d, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, does not want you to tan.

Accept it and move on. No point being all orange and fake looking. Maybe tan in a can is de rigeur in your part of the world; it certainly won't ever be down here.
