This is always so annoying when it happens.
I came across a mound of earth on our lower front property where we have planted trees and while I was almost sure it was where our neighbours just buried their German Shepherd when it died at an advanced age...I could never be sure it wasn't our neighour's husband or wife...but the OPP never showed up....

I walked many a railroad track as a kid, several times with Mother and my siblings as she fled a drunk boyfriend. She wasn't very good at planning. Think I still associate the tracks with poverty and despair.

It’s still there this morning. The strong winds yesterday didn’t move it at all.
When I was a kid we used to go to the old homestead in Pennsylvania for vacation. There was a track through the woods that had a couple coal cars that had derailed and tipped over and they just left them there. I still have a bunch of railroad spikes I collected. There was also a natural spring along the tracks that my great grandfather had hammered a pipe into the hillside. That was the coldest and best tasting water I ever had.
