Anyone else here miss this show? I do. I've been enjoying the fact that Sci-Fi shows a 4 hour block on Mondays but I do miss that the show didn't get to do a full run like the other series had. Especially when that last season was their strongest (not counting that dreadful series finale).
 
I was never able to get into it as much as the others. I think my main problem was that I didn't catch it from the beginning. I have watched a few good episodes on Sci-Fi though, but they don't pack the same punch that the other series had.
 
I kinda agree... It had a lot of promise, and some real good episodes, esp in seasons 3 and 4... but it just really never caught on. But if you think of it this way, if you add it's 4 seasons to the original series' 3 seasons, you have a complete 7 season show ;). That's how i think about it.
 
It had a better run than the Original Series had, which was good enough to spawn all of this in the first place. ;)

I'm rather sorry that I didn't get more into Enterprise, but by then, I think I was 'Star Trekked out'. I'd been a faithful watcher of TNG and even DS9, but I found Voyager to be so dreadful that it pushed me away after 2 seasons. I found the writing to be stale, the plots predictable and the characters and their interaction to be boring. Now that may have been as much a result of my own 'fatigue' as anything else and when I occasionally watched the odd episode later in the Voyager series it didn't seem to be quite as bad as I remembered it, but still it didn't engage me to return to watch the show regularly.

Enterprise was the same. It wasn't bad, and I tried to watch it regularly but it just didn't engage me the way the first 3 series (including the original) did. I'm not much of a TV watcher to begin with, so to keep me coming back week-after-week, a show has to engage me with fascinating characters, good writing, subtle plots, etc. And while Enterprise didn't suck at any of that, it still failed to draw me in the way other Star Trek series did or even some other sci-fi series did (e.g. Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica does now).

So, while I sympathize with your feelings about Enterprise being terminated early (I too have 'lost' favorite shows in such manner), I can't help but feel that it would have been better for the franchise if they had taken a few years off after doing DS9 (or even TNG). In show business, it's often best to leave with the audience wanting more, in Star Trek's case, IMO they insisted on taking curtain calls long after the audience had stopped applauding.
 
I am a fan of all Trek cecause of Roddenberry's vision of the future. I have to admit I liked Enterprise least of the series ,though I still watch it. I have a hard time with their depiction of Vulcans, too angry and too emtional while proclaiming their lack of emotions. Tuvok on Voyager was a PERFECT Vulcan, and of course Spock.
Where I live( NH) you can get some Trek all day and night on Mondays, but you have to jump around a bit, but considering the trash on TV now, its worth it. A bad Trek episode is better than most new shows period. Tho I am addicted to Smallville, Tom Welling is so easy on the eyes, and the way the show is going Green Lantern will have to show up soon! Cheers!

It brought an interesting new to this species
 
I liked enterprise better than i liked DS9. I do miss it and wish it had gotten a few more series...opps now i'm going all British on ya, i meant seasons. :lol:

I do miss it. i just got season 1 of TOS. i would have gotten ent, but best buy doesn't seem to have them on the shelves anymore. :(
 
I can't argue with those who felt "Trekked Out," which is pretty good term if you ask me... Uncle Miltie was right all along about leaving them wanting more. Paramount was too eager to keep the cash cow going that they ended up souring the milk.

Nevertheless I thought it was a good program with some stellar episodes. As for the Vulcans, I really enjoyed their portrayal in the series and how their relationship evolved with the humans. Not to mention I miss Trip Tucker. ;)
 
Trip was very enjoyable to watch especially when he stripped down and needed to be 'dis-infected' from time to time. A job I wouldn't mind at all helping out with.
BTW I am new to all this, did GL win the vote or not? Where do we go to see his nude supoorter's photo? Just askin'.8^)
 
I liked the series too. Just as it was getting good...they pulled the plug! :(

Loved the two parter mirror universe episodes of Enterprise. There are my favourite!!
 
I really liked Voyager. The first couple of seasons were kind of ho-hum but the series really improved over the years. The major turning point is when they brought in Seven of Nine.

As far as Enterprise, I never got into it very much. I liked Scott Bakula and Tucker was cute, but that's about the end of it.

For anyone who would like to see Voyager, SPIKE TV is showing 2 episodes daily from 4 to 6pm EST. I enjoy seeing them again.
 
I watched Enterprise all the way through. One problem, at least here, was that it was on a weird network. It was a moving target the first season, on at a different time every week. One week 4pm Sat afternoon, and the next 2am Sunday night, and the next some other time. I thought it was pretty good but you're right it didn't start to "feel" like Star Trek until the last season. The last show sucked big time.

I did win the vote, thanks for asking. And dreu did post his pics in his own gallery. He announced it here... but to be honest I'm not sure that he still has them up. You can always ask him to repost them if they're not still there.

And ditto on the de-con! Lord almighty... ;)
 
I miss Enterprise (and Trip! lol).

The complete series was so untypically Star Trek and full of inconsistencies. But I loved it nevertheless. Season three was the best one IMO.

Too bad they cancelled it right before the Romulan wars...
 
I love Enterprise. I wish it hadn't been cancelled. I do agree that the series finale kinda sucked though.
