I get a kick seeing actors from Star Trek on shows that predate their appearance onboard the Enterprise.
Here's a Perry Mason clip from 1963. Do you recognize anyone who later guess starred on Star Trek?

Wow, you're close. If you mean the young woman at the defense table next to Della Street, that's Sherry Jackson.
Sherry Jackson was "Andrea" from the Star Trek Season One episode, "What Are Little Girls Made Of".

The woman on the stand was Kathleen Browne. She was "Deela" from the Star Trek Season Three episode, "Wink Of An Eye".
Kathie Browne was everywhere on television as far back as I can remember. What shocked me seeing her on Star Trek is that I remember seeing her in on Sea Hunt, the adventure series starring Lloyd Bridges! That's her from the Sea Hunt episode in Black & White in 1961. When Kathie Browne made her Star Trek appearance she was 38 years old.

As for Gates McFadden, I can only go as far back as the early 1980's with her work for Jim Henson on several projects like, "The Muppets Take Manhattan".
