Personally, I'd prefer a side of "white cream gravy."

I was happy to hear from centex,comet and RO tonight(just missed centex's call and only heard RO on the voicemail message,didn't get a chance to talk to him in person, unfortunately).Tried to call last night and glad they could get back.The boys seemed to have had a great time and were getting ready to get a move on back home,and I wish I was there this weekend but happy comet made the festivities.Comet was loving that Air Tran service at the airport...you could just feel the love!Tolls,how customer friendly!And he talks as good as he looks....ooh,those Southern boy accents!

Centex ....I love your message service ring.Haven't heard that song from Hee-Haw in ages....you're a damn good good ole boy!And yes,even this Yankee admits I watched occasionally some time ago!Buck Owens,Granpa Jones....it really was a pretty fun show.Cooler than Lawrence Welk by MILES.

well comet does look pretty damned handsome in his cowboy hat. and its authentic! not one of those trendy, chic numbers but the real deal! it was great to meet you sir.

i always enjoy spending time with my texas buddies and this time was no different. friday night out on the strip was wonderful. i love the vibe of dallas' gayborhood. we hit the bars there and had ourselves a good time. the drag show was the high light for me.

thanks centex and ro for hosting this weekend. the fair was very impressive and i am now in love with 2010 chevy camaro displayed there. oh yeah, there were lots of hot guys. yeah i know, my priorities are skewed.

now ryan you know us gals wouldn't kiss and tell like that! its sort of like when clairee said," the only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize." we have to be above such nonsense.

on a side note: i met hard-up1 for dinner this evening! what a gentleman. when he told me he had not yet had tex-mex i decided on mi tierra. i hope he liked it.

It was said with affection!

Actually we didn't really take pictures. I was so busy last week I forgot my camera in my flight case. Apparently everyone else forgot their camera, or it was broken. RO had a camera, but since it was the size of the hubble telescope we couldn't really bring it with us.

Since RO is such a gentleman, he wouldn't post this picture without asking me... so I suppose I'll share it.

Aww....what an adorable pic,thanks comet and RO!It ALMOST makes up for the unfortunate lack of picture taking!But it'll do!(Guess that one IS RO's favorite pic of the weekend)!

Thanks for the Synopsis Comet -- it sounds like an AWESOME weekend!!!

I remember the last time I went to a state fair -- I got to try DEEP FRIED PICKLES!!! They were GREAT...

I WOULD ask -- Where are all the pictures??? But I'll leave that question to the others...

as to the chicken fried chicken... it was good. but trust me ya'll, i am fully versed when it comes to chicken fried steak. i am a natural born texan after all.

Lord... a batmobile is ALL you need. We'd never see you again!!!! My poor GL would be permanently lost... and to think how worried I was for 5 minutes at the car show!

Sorry, I'm late to the after party.

But you know me, better latent than never.

Well Friday was last minute changes, and last minute details, and the only thing that I did know was that Comet was flying in around 3 Friday afternoon.

RO had a test, and was stressing out, GL got his car out of the shop, but had some last minute stuff in SA to do, and was afraid that we'd miss picking Comet up at the Airport.

I had planned on washing my truck, and doing a better job about getting the dog hair out of the cab of my truck. (Sorry Comet ).

I was a few minutes late meeting Comet at the airport, and after arriving there, I had to use the porcelain facilities.

Comet was surprised that my truck doesn't have a GPS navigational system.

I reminded him that "I never get lost, it just takes me longer to get there."

We somehow managed to drive directly to the service entrance of a new hotel resort in the area.

I knew where I was, I just wasn't sure how we got there.

We made it to RO's, and a nice quite, and fun weekend between Friends began.

The Fair was pretty crowded on Saturday, and it was amazing that we never lost each other in the crowd.

And it's true, whenever we couldn't find GL, all we had to do was to make our way back to the Automobile Building and to find the 2010 Chevy Camaro.

Comet wanted a "cowboy" hat, and though I found him one that was pink with a really nice tierra, he indicated that he was looking for something more.

I knew just the place, and was so proud when he picked out a white Resistol.

He was even more excited to learn that he could have it custom fit, and that he could add a hat-band at a later date.

That's when I knew that he was serious about owning a real Cowboy Hat.

He looks right handsome in it too!

I don't think that we could have planned a better weekend.

The food great, the venues were great, the weather was great, and the deepening of the bonds of friendship made it all worthwhile.

RO wants to do this again next year, and suggested the we plan on making a trip to Gay Pride in Fort Worth, which turned out to be the same weekend, that we organized this event.

I look forward to seeing y'all again real soon!
