STD or Pimple?

So I had this pimple on the corner of my mouth and didnt think much about it but at the same time I got a sore throat and a cold(which could be because i as shoveling in shorts lol) but my friends, like always, get my nervous and say I could have an std. Now im sitting here scared because I looked at all of the STDs and the only one that stuck out was Syphliss. It said that you develop and sore. It dosent look like a sore and it was pretty painfull but I dunno. Im trying to get an appoitment but they want 70 bucks and I have to wait ten days! I dunno what to really do. I dont think I have anythin...but

Probably what you have is a cold sore. They tend to arise before and after viral infections. Keep it moist and it should go away in 5-7 days.

I would think more of a cold sore than syphillis....plus the symptoms of the sore throat and cold. If I get run down, I'll ge the start of a cold sore. I've found that "Blistex" works good on getting rid of them in short order.

Now if the pimple appeared on your penis, then I might worry a little more. Still, it never hurts to get tested regularly! Is there a gay men's clinic in your area? Most provide free testing one or two nights a week as well as charging at other times.

I don't know what kind of sexual activity you engaged in, which would probably help us know what your chances are of having caught an STI or just having a cold sore.

Syphilis has three phases:

1st phase - sores (or "chancres") around the site of infection.
2nd phase - occurs 3 - 6 weeks after 1st phase if untreated. Sore throat, rashes, warts, patchy hair loss, patches on the tongue and roof of the mouth.
3rd phase - Organ damage.

Since you had both a sore and a sore throat at the same time, I doubt it's syphilis.

Just educate yourself next time and you'll have a better idea of what you could have gotten, how to protect yourself, and what you most likely do not have/could not have gotten.

I scare myself alot. I guess it was a pimple. I'v been looking at pictures and everything and nothing matches with what I have right now.

I always do this. Currently, I only make out and give head so it's nothing really serious. I need to calm my nreves sometimes lol.
