You're getting confused here - to my knowledge it was not requested by the police, but she was told by her lawyer that it was legal to record the session as in California you're allowed to secretly record conversations to gather evidence the other person committed a violent felony and molesting a child under the age of 14 qualifies. She then handed a copy over to the police, most likely keeping one for herself.

According to her own statement it was at the request of the police that she made the actual recording of the privileged conversation between her soon-to-be ex and his therapist. Even a conversation between husband and wife...... the whole bit about spouses not being "forced" to testify against each other. Lawyers have long since skewed that to the side of privileged convos as well and a decent DA would not base a case on evidence that could easily be ruled inadmissible. All evidence based on that tape could be thrown out at that point. Justice would not be served unless the tape IS actually fake. If it is real and Collins actually committed the crimes he just may get off on so many technicalities, simply because the soon-to-be ex appears to be a money grubber. Why was TMZ the one to get the tape? Most likely because they were the only ones who would "buy" it. Also they tend not to be concerned with truth so much as sensationalism.

Oh but he was convicted....... Innocent or guilty of actual molestation, he was found guilty in the public eye. All because of yellow journalism. Granted his behavior through it all didn't help suggest innocence..... But in the eyes of the average citizen he tends to be viewed as guilty.

It suggested it to me. I can't imagine any adult molester saying it is "OK" to sleep in bed with a kid. The guy built a fucking Disneyland at his home...he was a kid in an adult body....

But is it not also likely that you know any adults who spend their entire lives mutllating their faces beyond recognition and bleaching their skin to an unreal pale? Innocent or guilty, he was stranger than Truman Capote and Andy Warhol combined.

I trust "weird"....and "strange"...more than I trust "normal".... The Catholic Priests and Jerry Sandusky were "normal"...so was the guy who raped me who looked and acted alot like Stephen Collins....

Child molesters or pedophiles are not the weird guy or the dirty old man, they look fine, present themselves well, they find places to serve the community by working with children.

They are the guy that you trust, who you can count on if you need someone to watch your kids, they are always there for you... and your kids.

That's why they are so hard to spot, yes there are cases of weirdos and dirty old men, but for the most part you have met them and don't know it.

My jury is out on Michael Jackson, he was not happy with his life, he didn't have a childhood and was trying to re-live it. I believe that
he had some form of body dysmorphia and was trying to fix himself, it was all sad. I also think that the fact that he was rich made him an easy mark for greedy parents.

Beware of what looks too safe and good, don't always believe what you see.

Relying on media reports reporting an ongoing divorce war with, all the allegations that predictably speak to a divorce settlement involving millions encourages me to avoid speculating...

I agree Kallipolis. I have met some crazy Americans whose relation to their psychotherapist is stronger than their marriage. Some of these crazy Californian shrinks use Hypnosis and Recreating Repressed Memory Therapy to get their hooks into an addled patient. And actors play roles all the time. And a wife wants more cash before getting rid of her cash cow.

And most people can't imagine an innocent man dancing on top of his SUV like Michael did. To a lot of people that was evidence that he had to be guilty and thumbing his nose at the court. Granted, we all know Jackson's life was less than perfect and he often seemed quite childish. This only led people to believe he wasn't likely to make decent choices in life.

The Police seem to be dragging their feet to get enough documentation to get a conviction.

It seems two alleged victims of Stephen Collins' penis have come forward, one to the NYPD and another to the L.A. County Sheriff. The NYPD detectives know of the 3rd person who was attacked by Stephen Collins' penis but are still tracking her down in order to give her the Third Degree.

Or, the "news" as reported by TMZ doesn't hold up to the scrutiny of truth and there is little to no validity to the claims. Any so-called news agency can claim anything. But if there is nothing to the claims then there will be nothing charge him with. So far he doesn't seem to have been officially charged with a crime. Starting to seem far more plausible that the whole thing was nothing more than the soon-to-be ex-wife's attempt to get a larger settlement in the divorce. But the apparently false allegations will likely come back to bite her in the end.

New bit of info as reported by People Magazine - The 2012 investigation out here in Cali has been long since closed. It would seem the facts did not support the accusation. The investigation in NY was recently reopened, I'm guessing because the police were given "new information" and as police they have to investigate an alleged crime, especially one of this magnitude.

The ex still claims she didn't leak the tape of Collins' alleged confession to TMZ, but she was apparently shopping it around.

But yeah, he must be guilty just because his bitter ex wants to hurt him and makes up these allegations.

It seems California has a 'Statute of Limitations' so the two alleged victims of Stephen Collins' penis attack will not have a day in court. But the alleged attack victim in New York may.
